Description
The Café La Llave story began almost a century-and-a-half ago when two brothers, Jose María and Ramón Gaviña, arrived in the New World with a simple dream – to seek a better life. It is in the rich coffee-bearing mountains of southern Cuba where their story began cultivating some of the world’s finest coffees. From growers, the brothers then started roasting coffee in their estate, Hacienda Buenos Aires, gaining the respect and love of the community. It was also here where Francisco Gaviña was born and raised his 4 children teaching them the art of growing quality coffee and roasting it to perfection. Leaving Cuba during the revolution, Francisco and his family settled in Los Angeles, California returning to the coffee business in 1967 – fulfilling a dream of bringing an authentic taste of home to Latinos everywhere. Café La Llave is blended, roasted, and packed at our zero-waste facility just outside of Los Angeles. This coffee didn’t disappoint, it was bold and flavorful. It didn’t taste watered down. It’s a good value for the money. While we enjoyed it, we probably won’t replace our currently pods with it, but if it was something we needed in a pinch, it would work for us.
Can't go wrong with Cafe La Llave pods.

So many coffee pods are weaker than their brewed counterparts, but these pods had a rich, robust flavor without being bitter. It felt like the espresso I make in my my old bialetti for the stove, but much easier to accomplish in my Keurig. Nice aroma and smooth taste. I received the cafe La Llave espresso pods in exchange for my review, I have to add that the packaging it was sent in was so nice and luxurious it felt like I was receiving a perfume! I recommend this coffee if you want a nice tasting espresso without the hassle of an espresso machine or espresso pot. Very worth it!
