I ordered this 8" Calphalon skillet to complete a Calphalon set purchased separately which did not have a small skillet. I was highly disappointed to see it is not at all up to the quality of the set. It is not heavy and not American made, two qualities that were very important when I purchased the set.

It would be a 5 star but. The 8” pans are not made in the US and that was disappointing. Cooking with the pans is great but I do not like the handle, I would prefer the handles on the 10” pans. There might be a very good reason for this type of handle, it’s just not my choice. I repeat, I do like cooking with the Calphalon pans that we have.

Thank you for such a great product. I have been married for over 25 years and this is the first time I have given my wife a pan for Christmas. LOL but our last Calphalon pan was old and we used it everyday and the nonstick surface was starting to peel away. She had been looking at store seeing if she could find one but kept telling me she couldn't. Now I am going to be looking for a square pan for cooking bacon. Any ideas? Thanks again Rich

It’s a good pan but not as heavy as my previous Calphalon pan. The handle gets hot which I don’t like. It cooks fast due to thinner bottom. Big enough for 2 fried eggs, but not three.
