I was really expecting more out of this little camera especially for the wait and price increase. For some reason it was out of stock for a long while and then the price went up a lot. I find myself using my SX740HS more even though it weighs a heck of a lot more. I just like the feel of it better than the ELPH and I like having the resize and crop features that don't seem to be on the ELPH.

Loved this camera so much and used it constantly but the shutters stopped opening and I can no longer take pictures. I had had it for a year which is very disappointing. I even influenced many others to buy the same camera.

I find this camera a joy to use. To be honest, I own several much more expensive cameras with larger sensors, but I take this one out more than any other. The autofocus is very fast and accurate, and I would say that the image quality is more than sufficient for most purposes. It's easy to transfer photos wirelessly from the camera to an iPhone. Just use the Canon app. The JPEGs straight from the camera are serviceable, but I usually do some light editing and convert them to black and white. i mainly use the camera for street photography. I like to take this camera on walks because it's very small and lightweight, and powers on fast. I don't bother with a bag-I just carry the camera in my hand. There are few manual controls, which doesn't bother me in slightest. If you need manual exposure get one of the higher end models.

I bought this camera 2 months ago. I just tried using it for the first time a few days ago, and the flash does not work at all (the one thing I care about the most). I’m also experiencing battery issues. Don’t buy this camera, or you might get a defective one.

Nice little camera. If you doubled the battery size, it wouldn't be much bigger and I wouldn't have to carry a spare all the time. Other than that, it's great.
