Terrible! Grainy, poor quality and doesn’t work in low light well

I like the idea that a video cam can follow someone. Allowing the camera to save a facial feature is a great feature. The first time I used the camera, it was as advertised until I tried to playback the video. I see the file, I can play it, but no video .... only audio. I called user support, this is another story, and was able to speak to someone after numerous call and redirection. I ended up calling the main Canon office and have them transfer me to user support. This part was frustrating. When I finally connected to a person. I explained the situation. He tried to replicate the problem but his phone is Android. He said to give him time so he can consult with his colleagues. After a couple of weeks of no progress or solution, I called again and fortunately was able to communicate with the original support person I spoke with during my first call. He did follow up on what he said because, he too was stumped by the problem. In the end, Canon support found that the Tracking PTZ camera software was not compatible with the latest iphone IOS. I asked when this will be fixed and no date was provided. The work around was for me to save the file on my phone and then play the video back on my phone. You cannot use the Canon App to play and review the video.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Canon PowerShot Active Camera was a little challenging for me (not super tech savvy) to set up. Not gonna lie, had to have my 16 yr old help me with it! Once we got it activated it worked well. The only way I could use it was with a hot spot on my phone due to not having home internet. If I had that, I would use this daily! The pics are super clear. You're able to see everything clearly. I am sorry I do not have wny more pics of it because my phone camera stopped working!! Will gladly add another review once it is fixed and I have home internet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this camera is an interesting little toy. The swivel/face tracking is actually really good on it. The quality is mediocre only offering 1080 in 2022 is not great. And the form factor reminds me of a department store security camera. However if you can get past that i think youll have a great time with this camera. I gave it 4 stars because i think the shape is a little awkward to hold and i think you can get a better camera with the option to swap lenses if youre into that sort of thing. Might be fun for kids/teens though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this thing quite a bit in bar situations, well lit home, car, on stage playing a live concert.. the low light was not very good at all. The camera at the bar seemed to only take weird pictures of friends and many of them using their phone which is weird. I had problems with the battery and camera staying on. I would turn it on and it would immediately shut down. The app is not good and is always trying to sync. The app is slow. The photos it did take and videos were not really USABLE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PowerShot camera is pretty good at taking selfies that don't look like selfies. It's a really cool concept. I just wish it had a little better camera. Good battery life, the USB-C charging port is awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is seriously awesome! It is really amazing that you can just set the camera down and have it take pictures. It makes taking family pictures super easy and everyone can get in the picture! This is absolutely perfect for parties or gatherings, you can capture the most candid shots without having to do any work. The set up was quick and easy. The picture quality is also really great. I cannot wait to use this for Christmas and all of the upcoming holiday events.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I have always been the one behind the camera, pictures are very important to me and rarely do I get to be the subject of these photos. The PowerShot Pick has changed everything as now I can still be the one taking pictures, but now I can be in them too. The app was super easy to use setting up the connection was very quick. My favorite part is that the camera is fully adjustable so you can pan and tilt to get the perfect shot. It has an internal battery so I can take it on the go and a tracking feature that will snap photos of the perfect moments even if I walk to the other side of the room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Canon PowerShot PTZ camera is the perfect size. It isn’t easily noticed so it won’t take up much room. Need to download the app but once that’s done it is neat to use. Take a little bit to get used to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was like a Webcam at first but it's not. It uses an app you download on your phone to take quick shots or short videos. The set up was a tad confusing for me as I am apparently not as tech savvy as I thought. But once I got it up and running it takes beautiful quality pictures and videos. I would highly recommend this product if you're good with technology.

It is portable, lightweight and compact so that it is easy to take with you wherever you go. It's my "goto" for family gatherings and parties. It has built in wifi that allows it to be connected to your phone if you wish. I would recommend this to everyone.

We love it as a way to take pics of our family doing fun things so that no one has to be the photographer, and everyone can be in the shot! We are really excited to use this to capture our present opening on Christmas morning, especially me since I am always wanting more "proof of mom" pics. I will say it was a little complicated getting it all set up, but once that happened it has worked out so far!

It was easy to set up and connect to my phone but it sometimes disconnects, I think because of my internet. The app is great. It is easy to navigate and has the instructions to use the camera on it also. I like the voice command mode. It makes a cute whistle sound when it responds to you. I’m usually the one taking the pictures so it is nice to be in some of them for a change. I like that I can take candid pictures using the app on my phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow this is a device I never knew I needed but now I love it. The hands free ability to take photo and video with active tracking is priceless. I imagine using it for surprise occasions, taking group photos, and recording special moments. Setup was a cinch by downloading the Connect to Mini PTZ app. I plugged in the device with the provided charging cable and was off & running with a simply bluetooth connection to my phone. There is a full instruction manual in the app that helped with general instruction and trouble shooting. The actual camera function is great, I can adjust the lighting, zoom, angle, etc.. via the app when usual the manual mode. Or turn on auto tracking mode to provide voice commands for handsfree photo/video! The commands are in the settings of the app which did take me a moment to find. It is simple, for example: Hello Pick (the camera will chirp) Take a photo (shutter sound to confirm photo taken).So easy! This is a well made portable camera with the additional ability to use it as a webcam, love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The canon powershot active tracking camera is a fun portable camera that is easy to carry around. You can just set it in front of your cake table and watch it capture life moments. The only problem I have with it is that it’s a bit awkward to pick it up and set it somewhere else. The transition is not as smooth. I’m too used to just sticking my camera on a go pro stick and move around that way.
