Q&A(8)

Q: Trying to help a feral cat. Can I grind or break pill up in food?

submitted by Bert - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes you can crush & mix in food

submitted byVettech - 6 years ago
  • A: I also have feral cats. I think that I will contact the company to see if the medicine can be broken up or crushed.

submitted byRainbow - 6 years ago
  • A: I contacted the company, and the operator read the insert and she said A. that this is only for 24 hour use, you give it to get the fleas off of some poor animal/cat that is just infested beyond comfort, and B. follow this pill up with some kind of 30 day topical product (as long as other cats aren't grooming!) AND c. Their final word on it is don't crush it. I am in same boat - helping a feral cat I cannot pick up, and I want to put it in the food. Try to surround the pill with something good (and I am still going to go buy this product and hope to report back on how big it is because I'm right there with people - need to cut it in half just in hopes that 1/2 goes down without the cat noticing.

Q: How often do you give your cat the pill? Are the ingredients similar to the flea medication that a Veterinarian would write a prescribe for fleas?

submitted by dmq - 2 years ago
  • A: CAPACTION is considered a treatment for pets. A Single dose of CAPACTION should kill the adult fleas on your pet. If your pet gets re-infested with fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day.
