A: Hi Pam, this SKU does not come with teh CO2, but it works with all readily availabele CO2 Cansiters exept Quick-connect. You can also get sustainable CO2 from the manufacturers website.

I wanted to really really love this guy. I was so ecstatic about it but has one major flaw. However, I do think it is one of the best options on the market. It is extra tall and you cannot remove the water resolver from the back or side, only lift it up all the way to remove it which means you have to slide it out from under the cabinet, refill it, then carefully try to slide it back without spilling any of the water you just refilled it with. Also the water catch cup is only magnetic (instead of physically clipped) so while moving the machine in and back under the cabinet it is easy for it to fall and in the 4 times I’ve used it it has resulted in me breaking a cup trying to catch it from falling, and also spilling the water reservoir another time trying to save the magnetic catch. Honestly these few things are such a design fail that I don’t know how they didn’t observe this when creating the product. Some additional nice to haves would have been the option to refrigerate the water while dispensing, and a way to hook up a water line into it so you don’t have to awkwardly refill it.

For starters, this does not come with the CO2 tank - you will need to order separately from the company. The design looks nice on the counter but it is tall. You have to refill the water from the top of the unit so make sure you can access the top door. The ease of getting a glass of water is fantastic. I put lemon juice in the glass before dispensing. There is also a small filter cartridge that is included on the order. The instructions on when and how to replace the cartridge are a little confusing - I wish there was an indicator on when to replace (like a Britta pitcher). I have had my unit for a few weeks so I have not replaced my CO2 tank yet, but opted to sign up for the exchange program with three tanks - but that might not have been necessary for one person (2 tanks might have been sufficient). Tanks cost $21 each. Overall I am very happy with the unit- it is a little noisy when dispensing. I have no issues with leaks. I drink a lot more water and no longer have to buy carbonated beverages.

I had a subscription to a flavored water company for over a year, but missed carbonated water. I had quit using my Soda Stream because I hated those bottles. I even did a cost analysis between the subscription and the Carbon8 device and realized having it would save money. It was easy to set up and I love the ease of use. One of my all time best decisions!

This is a really nice, high end product that lets you fill on a glass-by-glass basis. So it is truly on demand. The only issue I had was that they don't ship you a CO2 cylinder with the machine - they are sold separately. So I couldn't use the machine out of the box, I had to wait for the CO2 cylinder to come. Make sure you order the CO2 cylinder when you order the machine. The math works out to something like more than 200 cans of sparkling water per CO2 cylinder, so it pays for itself and it is better for the environment.

We received our second Carbon8 after we sent an email to customer service. Our previous machine stopped working 7 months after purchase. The CS rep shipped us another one at no charge. Happy to be making bubbles again!

I'm always on the lookout for ways to reduce my environmental impact, so when I saw the Carbon8 Sparkling Water Carbonator and Dispenser, I needed to try it. No plastic bottles that get really nasty and dirty over time ( not dishwasher safe). Their gas exchange program is also renewable as stated on the website.. I'm thrilled with my purchase and would highly recommend the Carbon8 to anyone who loves sparkling water and is nature conscious.

As someone who loves sparkling water but hates the waste of plastic bottles, I was excited to try the Carbon8 Sparkling Water Carbonator and Dispenser. And I have to say, I'm not disappointed. The one touch operation makes it so much easier to use than other systems and the UV light to sanitize the water tank is a cool feature. I also love the fact that I don't have to screw in bottles like with some other systems. It's such a hassle to constantly screw bottles in and out, so the one touch operation of the Carbon8 is a major plus for me. And with other systems, it can take forever to set them up and get them working, but the Carbon8 is so easy to use. I can have a glass of sparkling water at a moment's notice without having to make a whole bottle of bubbly water.

I've always been a fan of home made sparkling water, but the screw in bottles melt and break and the constant waste of plastic bottles was starting to weigh on my conscience. That's why I was excited to try the Carbon8 Carbonator because it doesnt need those screw in bottles.. It's different from all the other carbonators out there and I love that it's easier to use than other models I've tried.

Not only does it have a sleek and high-end design, but it also doesn't use PET bottles which is a major plus for the environment. The one touch operation is really cool and the UV light to sanitize the water tank is something I have not thought about before, but it makes a lot of sense.. I've tried other carbonators in the past and none of them have compared to the ease of use and overall quality of the Carbon8. I love that I can have a glass of sparkling water at a moment's notice without having to make a whole bottle of bubbly water. Pros:high end material and good looking design. very convenient to have just one glass of sparkling water without having to make a full bottle. One touch dispensing allows my 3 kids to bring me a glass of sparkling water. Its very easy to use.Carbonation seems to almost always be the same intensity ( colder water makes stronger bubbles I found) Anecdote: I had a sodastream and it would not give me a good idea when water was ready and what carbonation level. Carbon8 is more consistent and I like that. Looks so much better than a plastic soda stream machine.I like to be able to keep the water tank in the fridgeI also sometimes just add ice to the water tank to make the water colderworks great. Cons:Much pricier than other units. This is more of a statement piece for the counter. Not a sparkling water maker, but a maker/dispenser that looks goodMaybe comparable to a high end fully automatic coffee machine, also because it has a plug so it cannot go just anywhere.The drip tray is magnetic, snaps in, and looks great. But you have to remove it to get to the gas cylinder. Its very easy but needs to be explained better. The CO2 tank is a tight fit in the unit, so it requires a little extra effort

The Carbon8 Dispenser has completely changed the way I drink sparkling water. Its much easier to use than other carbonators with its one touch operation and I can have one glass when needed. Iyalso has a UV light to sanitize the water tank which gives me peace of mind knowing that my water is clean and safe to drink. And let's not forget about its high-end design and the fact that it doesn't use PET bottles, which is a great for the environment. I'm so happy I made the switch from my old Selzer maker, which was a pain to use and didn't have the same level of quality as the Carbon8. The Carbon8 is a step up from the same old Selzer makers and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of sparkling water.

I recently purchased the Carbon8 Sparkling Water Carbonator and Dispenser and I have to say, I am extremely impressed. The one touch dispenser makes it so much easier to use than my old Sodastream. It looks way more modern and beautiful too. I had to get used to keeping the water tank in the fridge. I do this because I like my sparkling water colder and feel the bubbles are stronger when the water is cold. Its not a big deal though and seeing the tank in the fridge reminds me to keep it filled up like my Brita.

I really like it and stands out I feel like all the sodamakers have looked and functioned somewhat the same in the past 20 years that I have looked at them ( I had a sodastream in the past but stopped using it because was tired of the steps)If you're tired of the same old soda makers and want something different, the Carbon8 is definitely worth checking out. It's a much better looking option than the Sodastream and others, and the fact that it doesn't use plastic bottles is great.

If you love sparkling water but hate the waste of plastic bottles and cans, this machine is definitely worth checking out. The touch panel is easy to use, but the machine is a bit noisy when dispensing the water ( But so was my old seltzer maker when I kept pushing more gas into the water). The one thing I am a bit skeptical about was the UV light. According to the website is kills algae and other stuff but its difficult to tell I had it for a month now and tank looks clean and water tastes goodSo far so I will update if anything changes ( but seems to work for now). BTW..IT LOOKS GOURGEOUS ON THE COUNTER.

I've tried a few different sparkling water makers in the past and Carbon8 is by far the best and easiest one I've used. One of the things I love most about it is that are way less steps than the conventional sparklers. Push the button and you get sparkling water dispensed into a glass vs having to fill a plastic bottle, screw it into the maker, push push push push and then filling the water into the glass.Too many steps. With this appliance I can have a splash or glass when needed. I have the aluminum version side panel looks very good quality and the design is super high end overall. As I said, its a lot different and I really like it.

We drink a lot of sparkling water at our house and bought this online because I wanted something nicer.. Having used a sodastream for years, I had long had issues with water leakage and, more annoyingly, having to go through so many steps just to get a glass of bubbly water. The Carbon8 is expensive. No doubt. But its usability and design is well worth it. It looks and feels high quality and my wife lets me keep it on the counter vs my sodastream which I only took out to use it. Another benefit is that this is compatible with existing SodaStream bottles and gas cylinders, which means you can find them anywhere. I signed up for their exchange program though, but just in case..
