Q: We have this wheel chair. My 125 mom has tipped it back multiple times sitting in it. Pushes back w her feet. Should this happen?

The end user should not be pushing themselves around in any capacity. make sure detents buttons are securely in place. to prevent tipping while seated do not push yourself with your feet.

A: Hello, This is one of our lighter chairs that we offer. We can not say if you would be able to lift this in a car but it is 32lbs.

However, this will vary from person to person depending on their strength. To give you an idea, it is 30" tall and 9" wide when folded and weighs 32 lbs. If you are able to bend over and lift 32 lbs, then you shouldn't have any trouble.

A: This unit does not come fully assembled. The wheels and footrests would need to be attached and the handles locked in place. It is an easy and tool free assembly though.

Q: Is this chair able to fit through cruise ship doors? Also can it be taken aboard an airplane? What are the foot rests made of i.e. plastic or aluminum? Does it have a storage bag?

A: We unfortunately don't have any specific information on if this will fit through cruise ship doors or taken through TSA. The overall depth when the unit is fully folded is 16". The footrests are made of a plastic material. This unit does not have a storage bag.

Q: how do you apply the brakes on this wheelchair? are they in the front or back? I guess what I'm asking is if I'm alone can I apply the brakes myself easily?

A: Good afternoon, The transport chair has wheel lock on both the rear wheels that are levers that you pull down. Please note though that transport chairs you should have someone pushing you at all times and are not designed to be self propelled. Thank you,

I needed a wheelchair for my grandma who was visiting from out of town. She is 4'11", about 125 lbs and has limited walking and standing abilities. This transport chair was a lifesaver for her as well as for us! We were able to take her sightseeing all over the city, and the wheelchair could handle going up and down steep incline and decline. It packs down nicely and can fit in the trunk of our compact car (with still some space leftover for other small items.) We do take off the foot rests when packing into our trunk, however, we find that they snap in/out of place with ease. The transport chair did not come fully assembled, but it was fairly easy to put together. Assembly is as basic as putting together a small knick knack from IKEA, and you do not need any tools. I don't know how well this chair holds up after a few months or more, but it did get very heavy usage over about 4 days, and it still seems to be in great shape for us. If you don't know where to start in finding a transport chair for a loved one, I would highly recommend this one, as its affordable compared to others, and might make more sense than a rental.

I purchased this chair for my Dad who is 6'2" and 220Ibs. I use it to take him to appointments and pretty much anywhere he needs to go. It's easy to use and lift into my car. I did add a foam seat cushion from the local office supply store.

I’m my Mom’s caregiver- she doesn’t get around very well these days. There was a Festival in our town, and I knew she would enjoy it- so I bought this chair- had it out of the box and operating in 5 minutes with no tools- and we went to the festival! It was perfect- the chair was easy to push, easy to turn. Very sturdy. Doesn’t seem like a “wheelchairâ€. Thank you for this wonderful product, and for enabling our memorable day together, and hopefully many more in the future.
