I was definitely able to smell some of the scent others have complained about (it is a barnyad scent) but I tossed in with some of our washable rugs and dog towels, and they're fine now. I would rather have authentic wool balls than some synthetic fabric or dryer sheet pollution.

I just started using them recently and so far so good. Some reviews mentioned a bad smell which I have not , in fact they leave my clothes smelling pleasant and feeling soft coming out of the dryer . I would order them again when needed.

They smelled strongly like the inside of a barn (in a bad way) even after washing them twice. Definitely wouldn’t want that smell on my clothes.
