Q: Friend's kid is 2 yrs old & uses the actual Dyson v8 w/crevice tool to vacuum. He holds it w/ both hands because it's heavy, but he cleans up his own crumbs after eating. Was going to buy this for him bc it's more his scale, but is suction decent?

It worked great for about an hour. Then the "on" button got stuck. The only way to make it stop was to take the batteries out. I was determined to get it back to working because my son just loves it so much. I tried to pull the button out of place and it snapped back into working order. However, 9 times out of 10, it snaps back out of working condition and I have to remove the battery again till I have the time to fiddle with it. Suction is a joke, no debris cleaned up. The bottom of the vacuum, that contains the "debris" has also fallen off. If your child doesn't mind having it off all the time, I might recommend it. If your child can walk, they can probably use this item. My 1 yr old is crazy about it, even in its broken state.

My 16 month old grandson absolutely loves this. He has been using it constantly for a few months now. The little balls inside blow around when the vacuum is on. It actually sucks up lint, animal hair etc. but lets be honest people are saying it doesn’t suck. Its a TOY vacuum so it will obviously not have the suction power of a real vacuum but it does work!

It did not work right out of the box. We tried multiple new batteries and it never turned on. Was so disappointed to see my niece's face light up then turn right off when it wouldn't turn on.

We purchased this for our grandson for Christmas and it didn't last even an hour before the "motor" stopped working. It was not abused or used improperly, just normal use and it stopped working.

Honestly, despite claims of suction — there is no suction on this toy at all. Quite the contrary, it appears that the area that should be for suction is actually used as a vent to blow air out of to circulate the fake foam where the dirt would go. It does look realistic though.
