A: Hi, I tried to leave a review twice with the solution on how to fix the flickering. Here it is if the my review doesn't go up. The lamps light socket is faulty and needs replaced. I replaced both of mine because of the flickering. Google "lamp light sockets" to find a replacement and watch YouTube for tutorials. I hope this helps.

I really like the look of this lamp and the dimmable feature but I had to return 3 different ones that I picked up in store due to damages!! The shades were dirty, bent, and/or had holes in them and the bases had red marks on them that would not come off!! I had to go around to different targets in my area to find lamps that were not damaged as having a replacement shipped was not an available option!!

I gave at least 2 stars for the appearance of these lamps, but functionally they are terrible. Customers Service was also terrible upon in-store pickup. The lamps were consistently out of stock and no option to ship, so when we saw that only one Target had just two available, we traveled a longer distance to pick up in-store. At the pickup counter, we were asked 4 times by 4 different employees if we had been helped and each time we said no, not yet, but the employees ignored us and kept on walking in the opposite direction. We stood there for over 20 mins trying to get assistance. Poor CS. The lamps do look really beautiful however that doesn’t matter since both lamps have a loud buzzing of electricity despite using different new bulbs in them, one flickers constantly and the dimmer function on both stopped working a day after we brought them home. This has been a lot of hassle and time spent getting these non-functional lamps home already and now I am beyond annoyed that I’d have haul them back to return to the store. Very upsetting . I wouldn’t recommend and would tell you to look for different lamps.

I love the look of this lamp, especially for the price The first one I bought made a humming noise and fluttered and flickered periodically. I tried two other bulbs, which made the flickering worse . I took a chance and exchanged the lamp out for a new one and was delighted to find that it has a dimming feature, which I didn’t realize because this didn’t work on the first lamp. The second lamp has no issues; I hope that it lasts a long time. This is an expensive looking lamp that is a spot-on dupe of PB’s Cape lamp at a fraction of the price. It has great extras such as a fabric wrapped cord, a dimmable feature, and a beautiful on-trend brass finial. My only wish is that it were a bit taller.

Beautiful lamp, but from the start it flickers nonstop. I’ve tried different bulbs, triple checked wattage, etc, and it won’t stop flickering, even when you adjust the setting. It’s really sad considering how much money was spent on it, and unfortunately we were outside the return window when we set it up

I should’ve listened to the reviews. I thought the bad reviews were just a result of user error and people were using the incorrect bulb. I bought correct wattage (and dimmable) bulbs per lamp specifications and the two lamps I bought both have issues with flickering. I would assume that this is due to faulty/defective light bulb sockets. HUGE rip off IMO. Target, why do you continue to sell a known defective item?

Such a beautiful lamp, but defective. I purchased two and both of them flicker and the dimmable feature does not work. If you try dimming the light at all the light flickers on and off. Even on the highest light setting the light flickers quickly. Quite pricey lamps for being defective and to not work properly. These will be going back!
