I use Cerave products and have purchased this face wash many times, however, this now smells like kerosine or petroleum. The bottle has changed so I am not sure if they changed the formula or just a bad bottle. Regardless, will not be purchasing in future.

Okay so I got this, because I wanted to try changing up cleansers and maybe save a few dollars. Now this absolutely will get the makeup off of your face, but after a couple months of use, my skin has dried out, its flaky, it is EXTREMELY itchy. I feel like this is incredibly harsh on the skin. I use non-fragrance moisturizers--- and after washing and applying the moisturizer it causes spots on my skin to experience a burning sensation. I feel like I should have heeded some of the reviews warning against this product. I was happy with it cleaning the makeup off, but now I feel like my skin is destroyed and feel totally lost in trying to restore it. I would definitely not recommend this to people who experience sensitive skin. I honestly feel like I need to go see a dermatologist due to the severity of my current skin after using this. Also like at first it felt fine on the skin, but after a couple weeks it feels really harsh on my skin.

This cleanser is my go to for an instant surge in hydration! Days I’m wearing makeup I will double cleanse and this is my first cleanser, works great to help remove makeup. I will go in with my makeup recovering balm or micellar water and then go in with this product, it feels incredibly creamy on the skin. I have very sensitive skin and this has never felt like it’s stripping my skin barrier. 10/10 I recommend!

I've been using this for years, as it's my favorite face wash. The last bottle I bought was very DIFFERENT.... it smelled like straight propane/chemicals. I didn't feel safe putting it on my skin. Threw it away.
