I’ve tried this a few times, spaced months a part, and it always ruins my skin barrier. My skin begins flaking, is red and angry, and is sooo tight and dry after using it. It takes like a week or more to recover each time I have tried it. I kept thinking maybe it was another skincare item that may cause irritation, so I began experimenting. I literally only have this issue after using this face wash. It causes all that irritation and damage after ONE use too!

16 oz Cerave Renewing SA Cleanser has turned my face red. Got out of shower hoping to see a clean renewed looking face and I was shocked to see red splotches all over my checks and forehead. My face feels dryer than it did when i started.

I bought this cleanser for my teen boy who had acne and sensitive skin.He had used it for years and it worked really well on his skin. The cleanser has no scent.

Overall, it made my skin glow, but there’s no point if it makes you break out. Me and my esthetician worked to strip down my skin care routine and calm my breakouts. As soon as I tired this, my cheeks started to break out. I’ll be returning to my old cleanser.

The cerve Renewing SA cleanser has salicylic acid which can make the skin purge that's why I only use it ONCE a week as exfoliater for which it does the job really well meaning it is effective on cleaning the dead skin. It does have scent to it. It has been worth it buy for me!

Another addition to my empties 😆 been using this cleanser for a while now and nothing special but i like its simplicity. I use this at night. When you use it, there is no scent which i love. It makes your face feel clean without stripping it so its a plus. I am not very picky when it comes to cleansers but this one gets the job done. Its very affordable sp yoi can use this for a long time.

This product cleared my skin up so much!! Honestly one of the best and most effective skin care productive I’ve ever used. None of the ingredients in there damaged my skin or irritated it. There really isn’t a scent to it, but it doesn’t stink and scent is a big one for me! The way it comes is pretty good and I haven’t had any leaks that have come out of it. I suggest using this twice a day, once at night and once in the morning! I hope this helps determine your decision whether to by it or not.

I used this cleanser twice. It was the only change to my face routine. It feels like it almost burned my skin. The morning after using it the 2nd time, my skin across my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin was visibly red and irritated and felt almost sun burned. I won't be using the remainder. I'm guessing this is me being super sensitive to one of the ingredients but I've never reacted to any other cleanser in this way.

Love this facial cleanser by Cerave! This one contains salicylic acid that helps prevent acne. It's unscented which I prefer for my sensitive skin. It's not too thick and not too thin, you only need a pea-sized drop to really lather the whole face!

I don’t use this everyday as salicylic acid cleanser is not meant to be used on a daily wash otherwise it will dry out your skin. When I do use this a couple times a week, it helps with balancing my skin, acne, and overall oil control. Love it.

- I have sensitive skin and use ceravae lotion all the time. Hormones changed causing more acne since I usually use differin and panoxyl (pretty strong) I thought this would be nice to try as a body wash - broke me out, burned and left me with dry skin
