Despite that, it’s still a beautiful and elegant piece. I would definitely recommend it to others, but I would advise being cautious and protecting the edges to prevent damage. The platter has the perfect weight—not too heavy, but not too light to feel cheap.

The gold edge gives what would be a modern white platter, a regency feel. A little bit old world mixed with new world. I’m genuinely surprised by the quality and plan on picking up more items to accompany it.
