The IIHS Best Bet KidFit® ClearTex® Plus Booster is designed with 10 positions of DuoGuard® protection, plus quick-release LATCH for easy removal and no added chemicals. The easy-adjust headrest ensures proper belt positioning and integrated side wings offer two layers of protection for the head & torso with a rigid shell and EPS energy-absorbing foam.

Q: Is there a way to stop this seat from tipping over every time I make a turn? I have it latched on both sides but when my son is using it, every turn of the vehicle is like a rollercoaster to him.

A: 7-7-2025: According to the installation directions: "the top tether anchor is not used with this booster seat". Haven't tried it myself but maybe the OP drives like a maniac!

A: The latches on the KidFit booster seat are not required for use. They do keep the car seat in the vehicle seating position when the car seat is unoccupied. We recommend buckling the vehicle seat belt over the car seat when it is unoccupied so the car seat does not slide across the vehicle seat.

A: The KidFit® ClearTex® Plus is equipped with premium LATCH connectors and a SuperCinch® one-pull tightener to stabilize the seat and keep it secured when unoccupied. This car seat does not include a top tether. The top tether anchor is not used with this Booster Seat. To secure your child, a vehicle Lap-Shoulder Belt must be used.

As parents, we’re so grateful we found this car seat. With our old brand, the seatbelt would constantly lock or tangle when unbuckling, but we haven’t had that issue once with this one — such a relief during busy drop-offs and errands. The latch system is super secure, and the seat doesn’t move at all once it’s in place, which gives us real peace of mind. The blue ombré is gorgeous, and I love that the cup holders collapse and pop out for easy cleaning (and for making room if we have extra passengers in the back). It’s clear this seat was designed with parents in mind. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something safe, practical, and stylish!

I may be a *tad* biased because I've been using car seats since the early 90's and with 6 kids plus 3 grandkids, I've had to deal with some really awful ones. This booster is an absolute dream to use. I got it as a first booster for my grandson hoping the extra safety features would be sufficient so my daughter wouldn't veto it! It's ridiculously easy to put together; parts are labeled L & R for easy identification. All the satisfying happen like they are supposed to when you've properly seated your armrests & cupholders.The Latch System is quite possibly the easiest I've ever used. We were able to evade a meltdown mid-melt by quickly switching the booster to another car when little buddy decided on an impromptu trip in another car. So simple to release & re-latch. (Perhaps having a newer car makes a difference in using Latch? Always been a thorn in my side!) I love this seat. Going to buy the combo seat for my granddaughter!

My 5 year old survived a car accident with two flips in the air in this booster seat! I will recommend it to everyone I know with kiddos. I never thought this would happen to us. The cup that is smooshed in was his simply modern cup in the cup holder so it shows how hard the direct hit was and how the seat protected his body.

Unfortunately this didn’t work for me- the latch system is limited it how tight you can get it against the seat. It only pulls so far and it was no where near tight enough to be safe in my Telluride.

The Chicco Kidfit High back booster is a great car seat. My son finds it comfortable and it is easy to install and remove from the car. The hard part is actually assembly the car seat. The car seat comes in a box with all the parts separated. The cup holders are challenging to install because there is an overlap with the padding in the seat. The arm rests required alot of effort in order to get them installed. The back attaches easily, however the conencting flap is difficult to fit under the seat base cover.
