The IIHS Best Bet KidFit® Zip Plus Booster Seat boasts bonus zip-off cushions PLUS new quick-release LATCH for easy removal. Designed with 10 positions of DuoGuard® protection, KidFit® Zip Plus features a rigid shell and EPS energy-absorbing foam for head and torso protection throughout every stage with integrated side wings.

Built for Protection, Stability, and Comfort

Premium LATCH connectors and a SuperCinch® one-pull tightener stabilize the seat for easy in/out and keep it secured when unoccupied. The upgraded quick-release LATCH provides convenient one-hand removal from the vehicle LATCH system for easy transfer between seats and vehicles.

A contoured ErgoBoost® Plus seat with triple-foam padding provides comfort and support in all the right places, and a 2-position backrest adjusts to mimic the vehicle seat position. The backrest is also removable to create a backless booster for older children.

Convenient and Road Trip Ready

KidFit® Zip Plus also includes stylish, quilted seat and backrest cushions that easily zip on to provide extra padding and protect the fabrics underneath. They’re just as easy to zip off for cleaning or storage. All fabrics, including armrest covers, are removable and machine washable.

Unfortunately doesn’t fit 2020 Subaru Ascent. If you cinch the base sung where it is not sliding on the seat the back won’t lay flush with the car seat

Installing a booster seat is very different than a car seat. The LATCH connectors on a booster seat help to keep it in place when the seat is unoccupied and do not need to be pulled tight. This will also allow the back of the booster seat to lay flush with the vehicle seat.

My kid had been in the same grace extend to fit for years and it was time for a booster. I chose this because it has the zip off cover so it’ll be easy to clean and we had the chicco newborn seat and I know it’s well rated for safety and they’re amazing quality. This seat was easy to put together and install and he really likes it. He keeps saying how comfy it is and the snack/iPad holder is a fun bonus. I also like how clean looking this is without any gaudy colors or designs, and it’s sleek, not bulky.

I am not that inpressed with this seat. wasnt easy to get it tight. should be pull and it tightens but it wasnt, had to push, kneel and apply alot of pressure to the seat to get it to tighten. Not 100% sure I am keeping it yet. its for my grandson when he is in my car he is 5. If I dont like the way be fits in it he will go back to a 5 point harness seat.

Unlike a traditional car seat, a booster car seat is designed to help a child fit properly in the vehicle seat and the LATCH does not need to be tight. The LATCH connection on a booster seat is used to keep the seat in place when the child is not in the booster seat. We hope this information is helpful in evaluating the use of the seat.

Love the seat. Definitely love the easy zip features for quick washing. My daughter loves the cup holder and the little tray thing that it comes with. It does fall off pretty easily. My older daughter has the same seat and took her off cause she didn’t like that it would spill her things every couple times. Love that it’s easy to install and super easy to move. Easy adjust and she can buckle herself in fairly easy. We have two of these now and I will be using for my youngest also.

We purchased this seat for our 6 year old and loved it enough to get another for our tall 4 year old. We appreciate the anchor system and the dual cup holders. Knowing we can unzip and wash the fabric is another bonus! The concept of the little toy compartment is nice, but we’ve found it sometimes falls out of the cup holder when putting on seat belts.

Seat is nice and cushiony. The headrest is easily adjustable for height. Shoulder seat belt strap keeps the seatbelt in place. Little snack container is large enough to hold fast food so food isn’t all over the back seat. My 4 year is not able to buckle himself in but can unbuckle once I tell him to. It makes getting in and out of the car so much easier. Super light but feel sturdy and safe. I am really happy with my purchase.

I had the other version of this car seat, the one without the zip off feature. I haven’t put this one to use just yet but I love that you can easily unzip it to wash. It’s a bit of a pain to take the covers off the other model to wash.

This is a well padded seat and my 4.5 years old is comfortable sitting on it. It is annoying that the safety bell always twisted every time we try to fasten it. My daughter complained that she cannot sleep comfortably while she is on it when compared to her previous Chicco nextfit . She rests her head on the cup holder which is not safe at all and she can unbuckle herself out of the car seat. Will return it soon.

I’m not sure how I like this seat, daughter likes the feel but it has a few frustrations. Good things first: it has a lot of cushioning, love the zip off idea for easy washing. The console is pretty cool. Love that it anchors to the cars seat so it doesn’t slide around. Negatives: the seatbelt gets twisted, almost every time. When my kid pulls the belt through the orange belt guide, it never happens smoothly. It is so frustrating having to fix it and help her buckle every time. The back also is wobbly, doesn’t feel as secure as her previous seat. Still undecided on whether or not to continue looking for another seat.
