Chicken Tikka Masala - 16oz - Good & Gather™

I cannot believe how bad this is. My family and I eat Tikka Masala regularly both dining out and homemade. I grabbed this needing a fast meal assuming it would be something everyone would enjoy. It’s super dry, barely any sauce and tastes like someone knocked over a bottle of cumin into it by accident and just said “oh well” and shipped it off to Target anyway. Cumin is commonly found in Tikka Masala but there are other spices I should be tasting as well. I reeeeeally do not recommend.

Great flavor, not too strong, chicken was nice and no gross parts. 10/10 will be getting again!

I picked this up using the drive up yesterday and it expired March 26. Today is April 8.

Dry little people are saying and kinda grainy/gritty? No rice included also. I noticed in store that it didn't have rice but I had thought it did to begin with. Won't be buying again. Flavor okay.

Disgusting taste and chicken was very tuff and rubbery. Couldn't believe how awful this tasted and looked as well.

I was worried about trying this due to a few reviews claiming this is salty. No this is not salty but seasoned in Middle Eastern seasoning. I grilled a red bell pepper, a half onion, both chopped up and boiled some baby potatoes. Added olive oil and voila! Can either go with rice, salad and or nan bread. Cheers!

Liked that it was precooked and fast but the flavor was mid level and it was pretty dry also doesn't include rice like the picture shows

I buy this when I want something easy to make for dinner, it's a fan favorite, love the flavor and how much of it you get for the price.

Nice big chunks of chicken in a very tasty sauce. No rice just chicken in thick sauce; which is great- why pay for filler you can make easily at home. It is definitely 3 meals worth although i ate about half the meat before i even heated it up the first time i bought it!! I couldnt believe how good it was!! Nice thing about this stuff is large chunks of chicken a thick sauce you can add a little water to to thin it out then mix into cooked Basmati rice: 1-1.5 cup rice for 1/3 pkg ( or 3-4 cups for entire pkg of chicken). You can add some frozen peas or corn for some veg. It is a little on the salty side at 820mg / serving but thinned out w plain rice, peas, corn etc it tastes really good. I saw this every time i was buying Ground Beef (which is great quality) at target and finall decided to try it. Im on a sodium restricted diet (1800mg daily)but 1 serving at 820mg salt with rice, peas,etc is ok for 1 meal. I dont understand why reviews arent higher especially since you can slide it out of the package and see exactly what it looks like. It has been consistantly good the 5 times ive bought it in 2 months! Try it, if you enjoy curries etc, you will like it.

This was not only dry but tasted nothing like tikka masala. It's chicken, but that's about the only accurate item in the title. Just not good at all, yikes.

I don’t understand the Too Salty reviews??!?! My family & I thought it was flavorful and very tasty. The quality of the chicken meat was perfect…tender and juicy. It honestly tasted very authentic compared to the several Indian cuisine restaurants in our area. Dishes like this need more seasoning as it’s not meant to eat by itself. You are supposed to pair with basmati rice or naan flat bread…both of which is bland alone!! My only suggestion is to make the packaging easier to open …AND add more sauce! I purchased the tikka masala sauce in the jar (by the same brand so flavor is similar) and added 1 jar to 2 pkgs of this tikka masala. Family loved it!!!

Very tasty! I have never had authentic Indian cuisine as I live in a small town that does not have any Indian restaurants, but this tastes a lot like the chicken tikka masala meals I have had previously! Not too salty or dry like other reviews say. I would actually say it is very saucy! The packaging clearly states that it is only the chicken included, so it is not the company’s fault if you got confused or didn’t read and thought it was the entire meal. I do agree that it is hard to open the plastic cover as it just breaks when you try to remove it.

I made this and some rice to go with it. The chicken looked good but was absolutely inedibly salty. There is no way someone tasted this recipe and put it out like this. It’s insane

It was very good ! Perfect portions for a couple of lunches . Quick and easy !

Simultaneously, saucy and dry somehow. I added my own vegetables, and some spices, but it still was not great. Even for the convenience, I will not buy this again.

Packaging is terrible - hard to tear off the plastic cover and difficult to get all the sauce out - already there is not enough sauce to begin with. Does not compare favorably with Cafe Spice tikka masala at all - taste and amount of the sauce, white chicken chunis and that comes with rice - would prefer a ready to eat dish with the rice included.

Horrible. Salty. Nothing even remotely masala about it. Another guy compared it to taco meat. Maybe they should consult Indian people. It's all wrong.
