I have always bought the Chinet oval platters for my holiday meals for their size and sturdiness. However, this year, I was very disappointed. As we ate our Thanksgiving meal every plate leaked through and left wet/greasy stains on my tablecloth. Not sure why but we did notice that the new plate package reads compostable; not sure if that was there previously. Done with Chinet plates if this is the current quality.

What happened to Chinet's? I purchased a package of 24 oval and 60 luncheon plates for Thanksgiving. Thank heavens I opened both packages to split them up between two families. Couldn't help but notice various marks on the plates. They are not large imperfections but they are noticeable. I would have been embarrassed had these plates been used for Thanksgiving dinner. I've contacted the company and await their response.

I just bought the large plates and bowls to keep at work because they are heavier and said 'microwave safe'. Today is the first day I used them (the bowls) and I warmed up leftover turkey. I had not even gotten it out of the microwave and the bottom was completely soaked through. When I put it on my desk the bottom split apart and I lost part of my lunch. I ate some of the turkey but I feel like I've eaten some of whatever these bowls are made of and I won't use them again. It says microwave safe, are these defective?

Bought these for the holidays like every year! The past two years they have leaked through. I will by the bargain brand again since they don’t leak on my wood table!

I didn't open these right away, but when I did, I noticed the entire stack was scrunched and misshapen. I think it was too late to return. I am really disappointed in the quality because I use these to give out baked gifts during the holiday season.

Bought these so I didn't have as much clean up for Christmas dinner. All went well until the first person put some Italian meatballs in red sauce on their plate and sat down at my table with white linens. Every single plate soaked through immediately. It's not like I was serving soup! It's meatballs for heaven sake in thick tomato sauce. Well, someone noticed and everyone scrambled to get something under their plates. How embarrassing! And although the plates were disposed of after the meal I was tasked with washing tomato sauce out of my white linens at every place setting. I'd rather have washed the plates!

I ONLY use Chinet plates for my large holiday gatherings. They are super sturdy, leakproof, and save me clean up time. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME PLATES I HAVE USED IN THE PAST. I am not sure what has happened - but my dining room table is RUINED. See photos attached. Leaked right through my table cloth. Can a company representative please contact me.
