Q: Does this work with hot liquids like coffee?

A: Hi, Anna! Great question! While Chinet Classic® Compostable Straws were created for use in cold beverages, they can work in hot drinks, too. We just recommend keeping drink temperatures under 180˚F if you’re going to use a straw.

I thought about buying plastic reusable ones, but then saw this and thought that a compostable option would be better for the few days I would need them. They did the job, and while I didn't use them more than once, I suspect if you needed you could gently clean it to be used a second time.

Love all the Chinet products ,the plates are so durable and hold the food without worries it will give way and collapse on itself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for a party for teenagers and I am so happy that I found this product these straws are great because you know how teenagers like to use straws and they were so many coming to the party .. all I could think of think of was the plastic and how it was bad for the environment when I was looking at the different straws then I saw these compost straws Bought them and they are great! they break down and take up no room at all and are good for the environment, will definitely be buying more of these
