The table is good for the price. It's strictly decorative, not something that will get a lot of wear & abuse like a kitchen table or kids furniture. So while it's not fine furniture, I am fine w/it because I did not pay a fine furniture price. Mine has 2 bubbles in the wood on the top surface, but they are near the back and by the time I put a lamp and some decor on the table, you don't even see it. If I had paid a lot more, I would not've accepted this, but I don't think you'll get "perfect" at this price point. You'll need 2 people to get the bottom shelf on---it's not heavy but just the way the metal clips need to be attached kind of defies gravity--so you need 4 hands. I had specific measurements I needed to stay with in and needed a table that tapers back on the sides, so this fit the bill for me. Yes, I would recommend it if you are looking for something strictly decorative, not something that will get a lot of wear and tear.

came in wth on corner of the top desk damaged - looked like it got wet and then bent and you could see the layers of the compressesd wood. Was too bulky to return and since it was going to a spot behind a sofa, i opted to "make do" with it. Was shipped with sturdy styrofoaam and all so I think it was already damaged when shsipped?
