Q: is this made of hard anodized aluminum like other circulon pans or just regular aluminum?

A: Thanks for the question. A1 is full aluminum construction so you will still have the quick even heating you've come to expect from all of our other Circulon lines. A1 has the groundbreaking ScratchDefense nonstick surface that is much thicker and harder than traditional nonstick, which makes up for the hardness of hard anodized aluminum that other lines are made of.

I have one piece of Circulon - a 5 qt stock pot that I bought years ago at an outlet store. I have never seen any cookware that has such a truly non-stick and durable surface. My roommate is the real cook and he has made candy, fudge and all sorts of sticky foods in this pan and it all just slides out. Even when he boils sugar, it just slides right out of the pan - amazing! I'm going to buy an entire set of this fabulous cookware!

I bought the A1 Extreme non stick 10 piece set because my grandmother bought a set of Circulon pots and pans in the mid 80's and my Mom split them with me when my grandma passed. They are durable and though don't come in the fashion color I would have preferred (plum) I am looking forward to decades of use for my set as well!

Nice weight. Handle has a slight curve which is helpful I think when using it wth other pans on stove top. Have not used it in oven yet,but feel it would also be helpful there for ease of grabbing it with my oven mitts on. Thinking of getting your larger saute pan in future. Let me know of any sales. What a perfect pan I cannot say anything wrong about this pan. It a nice weight and easy to use. I have found nothing sticks only glides, you don’t need much or any oil. This pan is a must in all kitchens. You get what you pay for.

It's big enough for a turkey it's big enough for a full roast prime rib but I only made a little baby leg lamb and it was fine we liked it cleaned up real easy nice
