Q: is this made of hard anodized aluminum like other circulon pans or just regular aluminum?

A: Thanks for the question. A1 is full aluminum construction so you will still have the quick even heating you've come to expect from all of our other Circulon lines. A1 has the groundbreaking ScratchDefense nonstick surface that is much thicker and harder than traditional nonstick, which makes up for the hardness of hard anodized aluminum that other lines are made of.

So far in using this new cookware it has been great to use. I made fried eggs without any type of oil or fat in the pan. They did not stick. The cookware looks and feels like good quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having experienced four years faultless service using a set of Circulon non-stick saucepans, it was an easy decision when I needed a sauté pan. The non-stick surface is so strong that I've never been able to damage it and food slides out of the pan when serving. After use, a simple rinse and wipe with a soft sponge and it's ready for use again. Circulon pans are not cheap, but you get what you pay for, which in this case is a pan for life.

Very happy with this frying pan and a larger one we bought a few months ago. I only wish you still made an 11 inch square griddle without the compartments, we’d love to replace the very well-loved Circulon griddle we’ve had for many years.

I have cooked for over 50 years. Use different brands to non-stick, stainless steel, cast-iron, ceramic, copper bottoms, etc. Cast-iron is too heavy for me now. Still hanging on to my copper bottom pots. This is a cookware that my husband has not destroyed with his spatulas, spoons, forks and whatever he puts in the pan. Easy clean-up. I don't have to watch the heat that close. Stainless steel is great but hard to control the heat and if you burn food the clean up takes effort. The scratch defense is durable and easy, easy to clean.
