The bottom of the drop leafs are not only a completely different wood color than the rest, there are really bad scratch marks that looks like someone tried to cover up and failed stupendously. When the drop sides are down, you can see the mess underneath. The bottom should match the top and surrounding wood color so it doesn't look like the reclaimed/repurposed scrap wood that it is. I DO NOT recommend this trash.

Wow. I’m impressed! I spent HOURS looking for the right table for my small apartment. I wanted something my family of four could have holiday meals at together. I wanted real material that wouldn’t need to be thrown away after one holiday. This is perfect! Not one blemish on any of the pieces. It is WOOD! Definitely has a bit more of a reddish tone than my walnut floors, but blends well. This will be folded down when family leaves and stored in the closet. I did have one small issue in the last step where the pre drilled holes were on the wrong side. I noticed it in step one but wasn’t sure how it would affect the table until the last step. I just drilled my own with a very tiny bit and continued on. Was not a fan of the Allen wrench approach, but wasn’t terrible. Took about an hour for me to assemble by myself. Folding chairs also came from Target!

Construction on this was very easy, made easier by an electric drill. It’s beautiful in person and is so economical in space for my studio. It’s much bigger than I imagined and could probably closely fit 6.
