Q: Are the holes already punched out? Do I have to have the holes showing?
A: Hello, I've just completed building this stand. Yes, all 6 holes are already punched out (for cord management for all your electronics). Unfortunately, yes, the holes must show, because there are no hole patches or circular materials included in order to cover up the holes. Thus, if you wish to not have the holes show, you would need to come up with your own personal solution. It would take some effort. I'm not sure if you'd wish to undertake such a project, but it's totally up to you. Personally, I did not wish to undertake the extra effort to cover up the holes. Most TV stands do not allow for the option to cover up any holes for cord/cable management. However, if you really wish to do so, here is what you would wish to do: 1. Take a representative piece of the TV stand to a hardware shop, and they can color match it to a swatch, or come up with a very close approximation of the TV stand's color 2. Measure the hole depth (I measured roughly 4 millimeters, but please don't hold me to it. I already built the stand, and it was a bit awkward for me to stick my ruler inside to measure it) 3. Measure the circumference of the hole with a piece of string (I didn't have a piece of string to use, so I made do with my headphone cable); I measured approximately the length of the cable used, to be about 8.5 inches as approximated with a ruler. Again, please don't hold me to this, as it was awkward given my circumstances, but I did the best I could. You're better off with using a piece of string versus a headphone cable honestly. Phew... Now, with correct measurements of both the depth of the hole, and its circumference, you can cut out 6 wooden circles in order to plug the holes nice and neat. You'll want SUPER ACCURATE measurements though, so I'll say it again, please don't hold my measurements as being the gospel truth. And, get the correct color match for the wooden circles as well. You're good to go. It'll cost extra $ to be able to do this though. I'm not sure how much. I don't make great $ as a Pizza Hut delivery driver here in Colorado though, so for me, the extra time and $ (effort) wasn't worth it. For me. Colorado is much more expensive than Oklahoma. If I still lived in Oklahoma and wanted to cover the 6 holes, well, I could probably swing the extra time and cost. If you don't wish to have any holes, it's best to purchase a TV stand that doesn't really have them, or if they do, they are covered up (by doors). For this TV stand, 4 of the 6 holes will be covered by the 2 doors anyhow. Super long answer I know, but I wanted to be thorough.
