A: Some of the times using different wheels will not work with Winsome items, the parts are made overseas using the overseas measurement system. If you have a stool and the wheels have broken you can contact replacement@winsomewood.com for assistance

Q: I followed the directions for assembly, but when the seat is raised all the way to the top, it falls off the piston. Is there a reason for this? Could there be something missing?

I absolutely love the way the chair looks and how easy it was to put together. When you're sitting on the chair, it is easy to adjust the levels from high to low. However, if you're NOT sitting on the chair and you attempt to change the height level with no weight on the seat, it goes all the way to the top and can detach easily. I wished there were a way to screw in the piston to the seating pad so that it doesn't have a risk of coming off. But when you're sitting on the chair with your full weight, you should be fine. Still, it's a safety risk, to me, which is why I only gave it three stars. I use it primarily as a stool to sit at my makeshift vanity and when doing hair and makeup. The design is sleek and reminds me of those doctor's stools, which is what I wanted.

This stool is perfect for my secretary desk. I love the way you can adjust the height. The seat is a little uncomfortable for long periods of sitting but it's just what I needed so I will live with it.
