Q: Can I use this in the toilet tank or directly in the toilet to scrub with? We have mineral stains from the water.

A: Morton® Clean and Protect™ Plus Rust Defense™ works with a water softener unit as a way to address high iron content in your water supply. This product is not intended for for pouring directly into a toilet tank or into the toilet and used as a toilet scrub.

This is the best water softner salt that I have tried. My water feels soft my skin and hair feel moisturized. My water is clear. I do have an iron filter too so that may help. I also like that the bags are recyclable. My only complaint is I still get iron marks/rust stains. I've tried everything. I think there is just that much iron in our well water.
