The quilted top is fully removable for easy washing, its 100% water proof and has a bed bug proof mattress encasement attached to the removable quilted mattress pad! Its breathable, blocks allergens and have a MicronOne fabric technology! The quilted top is so soft too. This product is perfect for an elderly person who is bed ridden and has incontinence or even a small child who may still wet the bed! Recommend!

It's not the softest, but I do think it will be good for protecting the mattress from things like excessive cat dander. It seems to be breathable, though I would like if it were softer on its own.

Zip on protection super comfortable not a scratchy feeling it’s really soft. My wife loves it especially when are kids decide to sleep in our bed if they accidentally have in accident I know my mattress won’t get dirty.

I always recommend keeping mattresses protected, and this thing will do the trick. You could even use it over an air mattress for extra comfort/warmth as well. It fit my queen mattress perfectly.
