Q: Can you get this off the shower wall without damaging the shower?

A: Use a serrated knife, fishing line or thin wire to run through the back or side of the shelf to cut from the tiled wall. Ensure that the shelf is securely held once it has loosened from the wall. Silicone residue can be removed with a few simple steps: a. Soak the silicone residue with rubbing alcohol, acetone, or paint thinner to loosen the residue. b. Use a plastic paint scrapper or soaked scouring pad to gently remove the residue. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol. Note: Porcelain tiles are durable enough to withstand the cleaning process. Other types of tiles or stone tiles are more delicate so clean with care.
