I bought this in addition to the matching desk for extra storage in my home office. It was pretty straightforward to put together and it seems very sturdy. My only challenge with it is that the hinges are very hard to adjust. I tried for a long while, got frustrated, and had my husband come figure it out. He is a contractor and does this for a living, and it took him a while to get the doors adjusted properly. So… maybe the hinges could be upgraded to the ones that are a little more straightforward to adjust. But once adjusted, the doors work great and the cabinet looks and functions really nicely!

This cabinet was just what I needed. It is a quality cabinet with well-manufactured parts. The instruction manual is very detailed and easy to follow. All parts are properly labeled to facilitate construction. The only issue I encountered was that the drawer bottom was cracked and chipped in one spot. I'm concerned it might eventually fail after prolonged use, but this is a minor problem. No other parts were damaged and everything was assembled without any issues. Everything else about this cabinet is excellent and frankly exceeded my expectations. I'm very pleased that I chose this cabinet for my home office.

We bought this to create additional storage and display space in our living room. Very pleased with the product. It looks very nice and is quite sturdy. Obviously, it's not solid wood, and it needs to be assembled, but for the price it is a great deal and holds its own with the other furniture in our living room (a mix of actual mid-century walnut antiques and newer items, because you cannot get an authentic mid-century TV stand with space for all our electronic cords, lol). My husband and I put it together together and it was a good joint project. There are a number of steps, but the directions were easy to follow and all the parts were there and fit together easily. I wish the credenza were a few inches shorter so that we could fit it in our living room as an accompanying piece.

Made of low quality particle board under the veneer finish. I know this because the disassembled pieces were poorly packed in thin cardboard resulting in multiple chunks having broken off the boards during transit. Might look okay assembled but have to believe durability is an issue. Seeking a refund and will buy something else.
Absolutely would purchase from Sauder again.

The Library Base is being used as a printer stand to compliment my prior purchase of a Clifford Place computer desk by Sauder. The quality and value of The Sauder furniture is excellent. I will probably purchase more product in the future should the need arise.
