Denatured alcohol has no place in an aftershave product for freshly shaven skin, and no place in a product for sensitive skin. Alcohol is the #2 ingredient in this product. There is more alcohol than there is aloe!!! Unreal! Clinique claims to be guided by dermatologists, yet fills their clarifying lotions and aftershave products with alcohol. They will claim it's cosmetic grade alcohol because it's denatured, but it is still alcohol and irritating to sensitive skin. Step up your game Clinique!!! You can do better, I'm certain the company is not hurting for money! Fire the guiding dermatologists and improve the quality of your products.

I'm a bit conflicted with Clinique products that have alcohol in them so high up on the ingredient list. I say this for two reasons: First, my oily skin typically gets even more oily with alcohol-based products, so I avoid them. This product has alcohol listed as the second (second!) ingredient. Interestingly, Clinique has been updating their product pages lately with these large, gray-colored areas with a header of "Free Of." If that product doesn't contain alcohol, it reads "free of drying alcohol." If they KNOW alcohol is drying and are using that as both skincare advice and a selling point, why are they using it so much?! I'm a firm believe that when you start to make too many claims on a product or service, you eventually get to a point where it becomes fluff and ridiculous. With that in mind, this product has alcohol as the second ingredient (before aloe!), and according to Clinique, alcohol is drying to the skin. Furthermore, you're supposed to slather this alcohol-laden stuff on your skin after you just shaved?! No, thanks. I do see this product has garnered a lot of positive reviews, which I'm not disputing, as long as they're REAL reviews and not sponsored/fake. Hey, if a product works for you, who am I to dissuade you from buying it over and over. I just don't like when companies make claims—in this case, about an ingredient being negative—but then turn around and put it in so many of their offerings. Clinique needs to "sooth" things out a bit here.

I love this lotion and have been using it for many years. But Clinique has gotten too greedy, so I've switched to a less desirable but much more affordable option.

I didn't realize that it was unscented, I wouldn't have gotten it but it's ok.

When the workplace became fragrance-free several years ago, I started using Witch Hazel as an after-shave. A few months ago, I noticed that my face was becoming quite dry and itchy, so I started using Clinique For Men™ Post-Shave Soother. The difference has been stunning. The Clinique For Men™ Post-Shave Soother now leaves my face feeling calm and refreshed after I shave. I recommend this product.

My husband couldn't use it because it contains alcohol and made his facial skin burn. BUT I use it after shaving armpits and intimate area and it works great and alcohol ingredient doesn't bother my skin at all. It actually calms the skin after shave. Definitely recommend.

I bought this for my spouse due to his sensitive skin from poor water living overseas… I got this for him and first reaction …. Clinique is for girls. But I'm happy to say he's hooked on this product and buys it himself now when going to the exchange on base. Great product.

This is, and has been, my husband's favorite after shave for years!!! He has been using it since we were newly married and I love the fragrance too!!! We have been married many years, have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. He is an active attorney and I am a busy volunteer in the community. f

The Smell Is So Stinky

Made my husband try the sample and he loved the cooling effect and the smooth skin he felt after using it. It is now part of his daily routine!

It's kind of a splurge for my husband but it is his favorite after shave lotion for sure. It soothes his sensitive skin and he likes that there is no scent.

Skincare Guru Here. I've tried other products and no other hits the spot like this one. I have used this product for 15+ years. If I am traveling and forget this, my skin feels it after shaving. If there's a better product for after shaving, I'd be curious to compare it. What keeps me coming back to is its non-greasy feeling, non-oily, heavy and absorbs quickly - a great balance of all those attributes.

Immediately after application, the cream begins to nourish the skin, causing a slight feeling of an oily film for a couple of minutes. The skin absorbs it rather quickly, gaining a feeling of comfort and hydration.
