Q: can i put fabric softener in the dispenser with this product? |
A: I usually add it directly to the wash water and put the fabric softener in the dispenser. Hope this helps
submitted byBarbyLo - 5 years agoA: I put in fabric softener with this directly into the same dispenser :) I’ve never had any issues! I normally put in the odor remover first then the fabric softener and it’ll wash it all down

submitted byBarbyLo - 5 years agoA: I will usually just run another rinse cycle after with just the fabric softener.
submitted byraytaylor1459 - 4 years agoA: Curiously I don't see any instruction of the two being together at the same time in the dispenser. Call Clorox at 800-292-2200.
submitted byAnon - 5 years agoA: NO, according to the manufacturer, Chlorox, YOU CANNOT. To be effective, it must be put in the rinse cycle, ALONE, with no other additives, either by opening the washer and adding it by hand at the start of the rinse cycle, or by putting it in the fabric softener dispenser, by itself, so it will automatically release during the washer's rinse cycle. For all of you who fail to correctly follow the manufacturer's instructions for sanitization, and then even pass your own incorrect instructions to others, you are not sanitizing your wash. You are just fooling yourselves into thinking you have sanitized your laundry. It does not work in the wash cycle!!! Adding it to the wash cycle does not sanitize your clothes. The wash cycle water dilutes the product to the point that it is no longer effective. You might as well just pour it down the drain. If this product worked in the wash cycle, then the instructions would have stated that it is okay to add it to the wash cycle. It only sanitizes in the RINSE cycle, when added by itself with nothing else, where it remains less diluted and therefore still effective at killing germs. Everyone who advises to put in the wash cycle should be ignored. They don't have a clue what they are doing. Their laundry is NOT disinfected and they are just pouring the money they paid for this product right down the drain.

Q: Is this product effective for cleaning and sanitizing towels and rags that were exposed to raw sewage when my basement drain backed up? Thank you?
A: Thanks for your interest in our Laundry Sanitizer. While it's not a cleaner, our Fabric Sanitizer kills 99.9% of odor-causing bacteria that can make clothes and home textiles smell bad. It's perfect for helping remove unpleasant odors, not just covering them up. We hope this helps. Shannon from The Clorox Team

A: Thanks for your question about our Laundry Sanitizer, Rosie. Simply pour it into your fabric softener compartment or directly into the rinse cycle and wash your items with your favorite detergent as usual. We hope this helps. Shanon from The Clorox Team

Q: How can this be added to the rinse cycle in a front loader? A prior response indicates putting in the fabric softener dispenser will only remove odors from, but not sanitize, fabric. Want to sanitize.
A: Thanks for asking, as we'd be happy to help! To sanitize clothing using our Laundry Sanitizer in your high-efficiency front load washing machine, add 3.3 fluid ounces to the fabric softener compartment or directly to your rinse cycle wash. The product should be left in the rinse cycle for 16 minutes. If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-292-2200 and mention reference number 221003-000620. Have a wonderful day!
