A: those are dimension of the box when it is flat as this product is NOT assambled and you need to assemble it. So the actual dimensions of the shelf are more /less: 36" long, 11.5 deep .and 15" high

A: 36" wide - each small cubby is less than 9" wide. The depth is 11.61".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had no trouble putting this together, however it's compressed wood. When I was putting this together some of the finish flaked off. Other than that it's very sturdy and has plenty of room.

Horrible description when it can to the cubby size. NONE WAS GIVEN. This is the smallest cubby EVER!!! I can even buy a basket for it. A picture frame couldn’t even fit. It also came cracked. But since it’s not in stores I didn’t even bother.
