Directions: if you are under 18 years of age, ask a doctor before use, before using this product, read the enclosed User's Guide for complete directions and other important information, begin using the gum on your quit day, if you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use Nicotine Polacrilex Gum, 2 mg, if you smoke your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up, use Nicotine Polacrilex Gum, 4 mg according to the following 12 week schedule: Weeks 1 to 6 - 1 piece every 1 to 2 hours, Weeks 7 to 9 - 1 piece every 2 to 4 hours, Weeks 10 to 12 - 1 piece every 4 to 8 hours. nicotine gum is a medicine and must be used a certain way to get the best results, chew the gum slowly until it tingles. Then park it between your cheek and gum. When the tingle is gone, begin chewing again, until the tingle returns. repeat this process until most of the tingle is gone (about 30 minutes), do not eat or drink for 15 minutes before chewing the nicotine gum, or while chewing a piece, to improve your chances of quitting, use at least 9 pieces per day for the first 6 weeks, if you experience strong or frequent cravings, you may use a second piece within the hour. However, do not continuously use one piece after another since this may cause you hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects. do not use more than 24 pieces a day, it is important to complete treatment. If you feel you need to use the gum for a longer period to keep from smoking, talk to your health care provider.Other information

The taste is better than most I've tried it's just like minty gum but a little harder. The packaging is great it's like a blister pack, and you just pop one out when you need it. I think it's a great value for the price considering name brand ones are significantly more expensive. I would definitely recommend this product.

It's important to follow the instructions on the package if you want the best results. These work well for me, especially first thing in the morning when my cravings are at their highest. Though I have yet to completely quit smoking, these have helped significantly reduce my cigarette use to about half of what I would smoke without it.

They are minty in the beginning, but afterwards when you get into nicotine, they get little strong. Again, these were 4 mg so i am guessing too strong for my liking. I stopped within the weekend. And i have them with me to take one every once in awhile.

First of all, the packaging is great!! However, while trying to quit smoking, the last thing I need is something to irritate me. That's where the great packaging came in. Trying to get one of the pieces of gum out of the plastic bubble is torture, lol! It's too hard to get out! When i finally did get a piece of gum out, the taste surprised me. For me, it reminded me of the taste of a candy-cane. Peppermint. I'm not a fan. The gum was hard, almost rubbery, as you chew. It burnt a little as you need to let it sit between your gum and cheek. You need to chew it and "park" it in your mouth for UP to 30 minutes, at least 8 to 9 times a day!! My mouth was raw after the first day. Also, I was a bit jittery from the nicotine I suppose. Might have been too much nicotine for me. All that said, I would have to pass on this gum. Not worth the hassle, the taste, or the price.

First chew gives you ordinary chewing gum taste but after that comes the bitter taste which gives you feeling of disgust of nicotine and you aren’t able to smoke a cigarette. Great solution to give up the cigarette without cravings.

I’ve been using UP and UP nicotine gum for the last three weeks and it’s really helped me cut-back. I used to smoke about 8 cigarettes a day and now I’m down to none or 1 a day. It doesn’t have the best flavor but how great of a taste, do you really expect from a nicotine product. The packaging is cheap and I destroyed the box trying to open it. Overall the product works great and I would purchase in the future.
