I bought a spool of this over a decade ago, when it was specifically marketed for hanging bear bags - and it was perfect for it. The polypropylene shell glides over branches more smoothly than any paracord I've used at a fraction of the cost. Because of the low price point, I am also not concerned about having to replace it if/when it breaks. In fact, this is one of my go-to stocking stuffers for friends who also love to camp! To be clear: For a bear bag hanging cord, this is the best quality:cost ratio I've found. However, for other uses, I turn to other cords.

I don't know if the word "cord" should be used to describe this product. It implies some kind of rigidity to it and this has absolutely none. Will work to help bring attention to cords, but that's about it.
