This tent is very easy to put up. The poles are preset and corded to how they're supposed to connect. You just pop everything in place and tie them where they need to be. I can set it up on my own without looking at the manual. The room darkening is great compared to other tents that I've tried. Definitely helpful for people that don't like waking up with the sun. This fits 3 cots comfortably and you still have room to wiggle between cots. Can fit 4 cots but less room for your things and you'll need to put the cots side by side. If you're doing sleeping bags, it can definitely fit the 6 people.

This tent held up extremely well in a storm and kept us dry. It also has great ventilation to keep you cool and the dark room technology keeps you from waking up at first light. Finally it can be set up quickly and can be packed away back into its original bag with ease for convenient storage.

This tent is so amazing! It blocks out pretty much all of the light even in the middle of the day. I needed to use a flash light to see. It also helps keep the heat out as well even throughout the day.

Easy to set up with one person. I had originally bought a 10 person Coleman tent with the Dark Room feature, but it was a little bigger than I needed and I struggled to put it up myself when it was windy. I belong to several social media camping groups and have recommended this tent several times.

I’ve only used it once but it seems like a solid tent and fits my needs. I needed to replace an old Eureka 6 person tent and this works well. I can put it up myself and carry it easily. I like that better than pop up tents. My only issue is a defect in the rain fly, but overall I would recommend this to anyone that wants to be able to set it up yourself.

This 6-Person Dark Room Sundome was the 4th Coleman 10x10 6-person tent I have purchased over the past 25 years. They all got lots of use and held up as expected except the newest "Darkroom" version. I REALLY love the sun and heat blocking ability of the Dark Room tent, but I found the half-screened doorway much harder to use than older versions. I liked the captured-main cross-poles but was disappointed when a moderately stormy passage of a cold front snapped one of the poles, ripped through the fly and flattened the tent soaking the inside. The older non-captured cross-pole tents survived many similar storms undamaged. Replacement parts for this $180 tent are not available.

Used for 2 week trip to Glacier National Park. I was going solo so had to put up by myself. It was fairly easy to put up. Luckily both times it was put up there was no wind otherwise it would have been impossible. Took a two man tent just in case. It rained for 24 hours once and not a drop come through the rain fly. Had my Gander Mountain cot, zero gravity chair, suitcase and table inside tent to wait it out rain. Main reason buying this tent, it is the smallest tent and still able to stand upright and not hunched over all the time. I have nothing negative to say about it. BTW Many Glacier area was amazing!

We have had our tent for 4 summers now and the first summer it proved to be worthy when strong winds and rain unexpectedly fell through the night. We didn't feel a drop nor did our tent get humid. Thankfully we staked the top properly and it sustained the wind and rain!!

Not only have I used this tent every year for 4 years, i use it for multiple camping trips every year as well probably a minimum of 4x/year. It has held up through multiple heavy storms. It keeps you soooo much cooler than a regular tent and the blackout aspect also helps you sleep longer.

I used this tent for a three day camping trip with some friends. You could probably squeeze three people in but I’m not sure how you would fit 6. We fit two people with plenty of room for our mats/sleeping bags and our stuff. I have to give this tent absolute props where it counts — it STORMED hard on us on our last night of camping, severe storm warnings, wind, torrential rain, and we stayed secured and DRY in this tent with the rain shield on and the vents open. Easy set up (from someone who has never set up a tent) stayed in place and held up in storms. Good ventilation but definitely retains heat.

Hello! I'll echo what's already been posted in these reviews. The "dark-room" aspect does not disappoint, but we suffered a busted pole on our fifth or sixth use of the tent (we bought it new), and - like the other customers on this sight - I'm finding that getting replacement poles is nearly impossible. Coleman sends you to a third-party (e-replacement), and they carry a very limited amount of replacement pole sizes, and unfortunately not in the length we need for our SunDome 6-person. Their customer service could only recommend I "check-back" with them in the event their warehouse inventory changes.

Hole in the floor tub new out the box. Set up in the garage to make sure it was good to go. It has a ink pen size hole in the floor tub.

I have owned and worn out 2 previous 6 person sun dome tents in the last 20 years that i really liked so buying this one was a no brainer. I took a gamble on the darkroom technology and am very pleased how it keeps the tent cooler in the day and dark in a light environment. This tent is easy to set up, best done with two people. This one and my previous ones have stood up to some nasty high wind thunderstorms that destroyed many of the neighboring tents in our camping area.

Bought this tent for a vacation out west. It was easy to set up and for the most part held up. However we got caught in a storm and it shattered the poles on one side in two places. I need some replacement poles butt don’t have the model number. Hope someone at Coleman will be able to help me out.

I have had this tent for a little over a year now and never had an issue until today in a wind storm. 22 mph wind gusts split one of the poles longways down the pole. I have camped in higher winds than that in the past with an older Coleman tent with no issues. Their quality is going down hill.

We had a 10x12 Sundome, rated at 6 persons. We misplaced it, or lent it out but forgot to whom, and had to buy a new tent. We got this (except in the "dark room") style to replace it, expecting it to be essentially the same tent that we had purchased some 10 or 12 years earlier. It had the benefit of being "instant up," but the negative changes were far too many. It was smaller - 10x10 - and its sides came in far more quickly. Even short people like us (5'5'' and 5'') could only stand up in the center - which was occupied by our bed. It leaked in the corners. It had only one door, not two as our earlier tent had had. I cherish a fond hope of remembering what odd place we may have stored the old one, but so far, so good. We returned our new tent after one use.
