I liked the idea of the message board and hooks, but it is not renter friendly. Trying to take it off the wall is a nightmare as it rips the paint off with it.

It was super easy to install piece of cake. We have a dry marker we use with a marker and it does the job. Me and the husband just need 3 hooks anyways. But if you need more than that then get something else with more hooks.

I just bought this to hang near our door for keys and reminders of what we need to remember, so far works great. I wish it came with a dry erase marker but I had one from another board I am using. It doesn't really erase that well and you can still see faint marks from words but overall it does what it says.

I received this board and used it for awhile, it was easy to put up but the erase part was not the best. I tried many different brands of wipes, erasers all made for dry erase boards but it was never really clean. If that doesn’t bother you than - go for it! If you like it clean, don’t get it. Love the idea of hooks and message board for our doorway. Hooks hold great and looks nice. Problem we had was the first time we wrote on it, we could not get the marker off. Used a low odor name brand marker and it would not come off with dry eraser, dry eraser board cleaner, or blue window cleaner as mentioned in the instructions. Now we are stuck with notes that were supposed to be cleaned off easily.

Received as a sample to try. The only issued Id have for those wanting to buy one to get a low odor marker to use the writing feature. I didnt have one at the time and borrowed one from a friend. I will be using it in the garage as people come in that I know and be nice to leave people notes and they can leave me a note. Since it not hard to move it...I'll be able to use in the house near the door...for notes for family members. Since it can hold 2 lb I'll be careful of the weights of keys I can put there . Command gave me the Command Message Center to evaluate. It is a real help to me. I often laid my keys down and could't remember where. I hung the message center on the end of my kitchen cabinet by the garage door and now always have my keys handy. Having received this item free from 3M to evaluate I am happy to say that I find it useful. It is not too large, which is fine for brief notations and reminders. The hooks on the lower portion are very convenient for keys etc. As with all 3M product which I have used, and purchased, there is quality in it's construction. I received over a month ago and it kept the family organized and up to date with schedules and happenings around the holidays. Before I start, I volunteer to try free products from 3M. And ironically, this board reminded me to write how great of a product it was! The great th8ing about the Command Dry Erase Message Center board/slate is that I can move it anywhere thanks to the command strip installation. I have moved it first from my kitchen to be used for meal planning, to near my front door so I can remember keys (not a problem anymore since there is a key ring under it!) and other things that I tend to forget. As well, because it is of such high quality compared to a flimsy dollar store dry erase board, it just looks cleaner, fresher, and a little bit more sophisticated.
