Description
Over four generations ago, our founder "Cap" Saurage created our signature dark roast coffee. This special blend is roasted dark to develop rich, smooth flavor with a deep chocolate profile. Our master roasters ensure the exact roast level is achieved to consistently create this deliciously complex coffee that remains a favorite today.

I have been enjoying community dark roast for over 60 years now. Grew up around the corner from when the plant was on Choctaw Street. I've tried other coffee's while traveling but none come close.

We have been drinking this coffee ever since we first had it in Louisiana, when we were stationed at Ft. Polk. On our next assignment we couldn't stand 'regular' coffee and starting ordering from Community on-line. It's an excellent coffee, lots of flavor, very smooth. Honestly, can't live without it!

I have been drinking Community Coffee since I was a toddler. The grownups called it Coffee Milk back then and we loved it because we could drink “coffee” like the adults! I have never strayed from my coffee and if it’s not Community, I’m not drinking it. The Dark Roast brewed on the strong setting smells amazing when Mr. Coffee starts brewing at 5 am. The Saurage family is a great community geared family and have been instrumental in their dedication to our city of Baton Rouge. After moving out of state, I was relieved to find CC online! Always make my coffee and I’ll always be grateful!

Community dark roast is my go-to coffee of choice since I was brought up and this is the only thing my dad would buy. So needless to say it stuck with me through the years. I have never really tried anything different because of our love for Community dark roast.
