Q: both high and low settings are exactly the same, speed and heat wise. returned it for another one and it was the same-high and low settings were the same, no difference at all. is that normal???

DO NOT BUY… this was trash. I used it one my youngest daughter hair and my oldest used it as well, two different hair types and it didn’t work, I guess it went through the hair and loosen the tangles but it was still damp and didn’t blow dry it dry or straight, like a regular blow dryer. I actually stop mid way and finish with a regular blow dryer. WASTE OF MONEY. Returned

I love the concept of this paddle hairdryer because it makes drying hair so much faster. However, I absolutely hate that it is two pieces. When I first bought the dryer, it worked easily. But the longer I used it the looser the two pieces became and now every time you pass the dryer through hair, the brush part becomes detached from the arm. It takes forever to dry now because you’re constantly having to put the two pieces together. It’s so frustrating that I am going to buy a one piece paddle blow dryer. Great concept it just didn’t work for me.

Thought this would be more equipped to dry your hair while you brush, but instructions state to dry hair without attachment, and the brush is more for styling. Not what I was looking for. If you just want a heated brush to get straight hair, this is for you. If you want to style and dry at the same time, maybe not so much. Made with cheap design plastic, so it’s lightweight, but also sort of large and awkward to hold.

I've purchased a few different blow dry type brush things and this Conair Knot Dr. Paddle Brush Dryer might be my favorite! It's not a super high quality item, for $20 you can't go wrong! I have mid/lower back length 2B wavy hair and this left my hair pretty darn straight. Not flat iron straight, but good enough that I could absolutely wear it out if I needed to. Not heavy, my arms didn't get tired at all. Took me 15-20 minutes to dry my hair and that's the same amount of time it takes me with my Dyson and wet brush, but only having to manage one tool vs one in each hand is sooo much easier for me!

Let’s be honest, it dries your hair of course, but that’s it if you have textured hair. This isn’t something that gets your hair bone straight if you’re a colored girl. Waste of money.
