Conair Oh-So-Kind 1" Ceramic Hair Curling Wand

This is a fantastic curling iron for fine hair! I love that the tip is less hot, I’ve noticed less damage from curling my hair. It also works on low heat and heats up very quickly. The only thing that prevents it from being perfect is the nub at the base of the iron. My hair gets caught in it all the time and makes it more difficult to release the curl. It can be avoided with some skill but it’s annoying and why I took off one star. For an alternative Eva NYC makes a great affordable curling wand as well!

Unlike all of the rave reviews, my purchase was not part of a promotion, but I'm thankful that I got it on sale as it is pretty useless to me. I have another (metal) curling rod like this, but it is tapered and does not have the annoying nub at the very tip. The nub is not shown in photos and if it had been, I wouldn't have bought it. My hair is becoming damaged and so wanted something new that woudn't continue to fry my hair and after searching on line, found this and thought I'd give it a try. Unlike my current rod, you cannot wrap your hair around the rod, slip the ringlet off the end (due to the annoying nub which I have no idea what its use is) and then clip your hair up as it cools for a curlier look that lasts for days. I bought this for its "kindness" to baby fine hair but the rod is basically useless on mine. In lieu of curling, it just turns my hair into a frizzy, disorganized mess. I have yet to be able to "curl" my hair or even give it nice "beach waves" as advertised. I would not buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the curl didn't keep in my hair for more than 30 min but while the curl was still there, I loved it! I also am not skilled enough to curl my hair and actually make it look good.. lol! My hair is naturally curly anyways so keeping a hot iron curl in my hair is a challenge. I love the look of the curling wand and it heats pretty good but not enough where it's going to damage your hair. This wand is for more fine hair rather than coarse and curly like mine. But overall, it's a really good wand. I would recommend this to some of my friends and family with straighter, finer hair.

I've used curling irons before and I thought it would be similar but thank God I was wrong because it made my curls intact for Christmas! I definitely recommend this wand if you have fine hair it won't take too long to do your hair.

But with the OhSoKind Curling Wand, it makes styling my hair a breeze! I love how the temperature can be controlled. I have naturally curly poofy hair but I like the look of artificial curls more. With the multiple settings for different hair textures, this wand is insane.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used a curling wand before this one before. I was very intrigued to try it out. As the box says, it's for fine hair and mines not as thick as it once was, so I was happy to see that. It was hard for me to get used to using at first, being a wand rather than having a clip. It was pretty easy to get used to though. You do still have to be careful with burning (if not using a glove), because even if using the lowest heat setting, it's still hot to touch. I used heat spray before using and hair spray after and it stayed pretty well for the wavy, beachy look rather than tight curls my curler can give. I would use again.

It takes some time to practice using the wand without a clip, but with the heat protectant glove it's a huge help! Can't wait to use it more!

It works very well and it also has a cooler end for fine hair which is super cool. The lighter end of the wand is the cooler end of it. No other curling wands that I know of have this cooling option. It also came with a glove to protect your fingers from getting burnt. This is an amazing product and I'm very fortunate to be able to test and keep it. I would highly recommend this curling wand to anyone who is looking for a great curling wand that actually works and gives you great beachy waves. This is an excellent one to own. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gentle enough to use on natural hair, if you have thick natural hair expect very minimal/light curls. Great if you don't want heat damage, not ideal if you want longer lasting wand curls.

It worked pretty good. I had to set it a little bit hotter and hold the bit of hair. It worked and I loved the colors on this wand. It's easy to use and worked to curl my hair.
