It’s firm which iI wanted for sleeping, but very uncomfortable to sleep on. Where the back meets the seat is hard like a bar on an old fold out sofa. The back is very low when sitting on like a sofa. It looks very nice but at this price I hoped for more.

Additionally, gently patting the cushions can help them regain their full loft and provide a more comfortable experience. As for the backrest, its height of 18 inches was designed based on ergonomic principles and aligns with common standards in similar products in the market. I recently purchased this Sofabed and I’m quite satisfied with it overall. The quality is decent, I’d rate it 4/5 because the seating upholstery and cushioning aren't the highest quality, but it's nice and functions very well and I love it. Even though the package came without instructions, it was fairly easy to figure out and put together. If IKEA assembly is a 10/10 in difficulty, I’d rate this sofabed a 3/10. At first, I thought the arms and cushions were missing, but they were actually hidden inside the sofa, with the cushions compressed in an air-tight bag. All the necessary items and tools were included in the box. Despite the minor issues, it’s a great addition to my space.

I was hoping this would be the perfect futon for our small apartment, but it could not comfortably sleep a guest. This item also came covered in black stains, the wooden legs were scratched up, and it was missing the arms and pillows.
