Q: Is the applicator plastic?

A: Thank you for your interest in Cora and all that we're doing to improve women's health globally. Currently, our applicators are made of a bioplastic material. We're working on introducing a more biodegradable option this year. We also have applicator free options available :)

submitted byChan - 7 years agoA: STOP BEING ABLIST IN YOUR ANSWERS! Cora tampons are one of the ONLY disability friendly tampons on the market, and it is BECAUSE of their applicator style. We NEED that defined ridge at the end of the applicator to be able to grip it to insert/remove the applicator. Your eco-screaming is making disabled people's lives so unnecessarily hard. We have periods too.

Q: What do you recommend? My local store only sells, by regular and light tampons or regular and super tampons. My flow is only sometimes heavy, is a regular tampon from this brand enough for a heavy flow?

A: We recommend starting with the Regular/Light pack and see if that suits your needs before trying the super tampon.

Q: I am on a search for a new tampon company. A popular brand advertises as 100% organic cotton however has been in quite a few lawsuits. Do you use titanium dioxide in your tampons despite labeling?

Q: FALSE ADVERTISING. why does the product info here say 100% organic cotton but the box ingredients say it also inlcudes "polyethylene, polyester, fiber finish"???--i have photo of box ingredients

A: Hello, great question. We use peroxide, not bleach, to clean the organic cotton in the tampons.

I found it a little difficult to insert since it doesn’t have the click function and that is what I’m used to. The mix of regular and super absorbencies is super convenient. If you don’t mind that they don’t have the click function then they are worth it for the quality. Highly recommend! *I received this product for free in exchange for my review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a bleeding disorder so my periods can be very heavy especially the first few days or so and these worked pretty good. They weren't absorbent enough on my heavy flow days, but did work great on my lighter days. The applicators are very comfortable and don't cause any discomfort. They are also 100% organic cotton which is a plus in book. All in all I will continue to use these on my lighter flow days just not sure if I would repurchase since I already have a brand that I've been using for years that really work.
Cora tampons are comfortable and easy to use.

The compact design is so convenient. It makes storing a few in my purse or pocket easy and takes up little space. They come color-coded, so it is easy to grab the one I need at the time. I had no issues with use. They insert just as well as any other normal or compact tampon I have used. The Cora tampons absorb really well with no leaks. I am very pleased with the quality and how well these tampons work.

I use all day and absolutely no leakage and feel dry and clean down there. Ladies give it a try and this will be your best fav.

I have gotten very frustrated with these tampons because the applicator doesn't work properly about 50% of the time. I end up having to throw multiple tampons away each month, as they are impossible to insert/very painful when the plastic applicator mechanism does not work!

Sorry to hear you're having a difficult time with our compact applicators. Quick tip: extend the applicator until it clicks – that means it's all set to go. To see it in action, watch this: http://bit.ly/coracompactapp Also, if you are having issues with the tampons fully expelling, make sure that you are pushing the inner tube all the way up into the outer tube until the bottom of both tubes are touching. Hope this makes things easier for you!

These were comfortable during my period and I didn’t worry about leaking. The only thing I didn’t like is that I felt the string was too short, I had to go digging to remove it. I normally use a period cup but I would be happy to keep these around in case I need a tampon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how the box came with two different sizes which was convenient. Both sizes were comfortable and I felt like their absorption was up to par. I had two issues with this brand: 1 being the quality of the applicator, which was very flimsy and came apart easy making it difficult and time consuming to try and use the tampon. My other issue was that both sizes wouldn’t stay in place long and would move or shift while going to the bathroom or walking for long periods of time. I loved the box and the colors of the wrapping and it was very easy to read and distinguish between the sizes.

Due to heavy flow I found these to leak and needed to change it more frequently. They were very comfortable to use and but unfortunately I will not be repurchasing this brand due to my personal experience.

The plastic part was very flimsy and tended tp come apart during insertion. It absorbed fairly and did experience several bleed throughs.
