Q: Can King air mattress fit in there?
submitted by Enrique - 10 months ago
A: Barely can fit a queen mattress
submitted byYes13 - 9 months agoA: Hi! Thank you for your question - Yes, you can fit a king size mattress. However, the mattress would take up almost all the room in the tent. Summary of reviews
The Core 4 Person Tent is praised for its spacious interior, allowing guests to stand up and move comfortably. It's easy to set up, even solo, and holds up well in windy conditions. However, some guests noted issues with rain protection and ventilation in cold weather. The tent's thoughtful design includes pockets and a gear loft, making it a great choice for solo or small group camping adventures.

Perfect For Senior Campers
4 out of 5 stars

I bought this 4 person tent for my husband and I. He hates camping because it’s too much work. I can put this up by myself. My daughter and I spent the night in it during a tornado outbreak of Father’s day 2023. There was some dripping due to extreme high winds, we were extremely impressed. Not only that we had a family of that spent the night in a 9 person Core and it with stood the storm. The 4 man holds 2 large cots Space and a cot, but not much more big gear. I am looking forward to one day by a possible 10 man for the whole family just because it’s so easy to set up.

Hi Mom Mouse, Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear the tent's easy setup has made camping more enjoyable for you. It’s great to know it held up well during extreme weather, and we appreciate your feedback on space and capacity. It sounds like a larger tent might be in your future. We’d love to be part of even more of your family’s adventures. Thank you for choosing CORE!

I love this tent! It was really easy to set up in the dark with a headlamp. I used it for solo camping at an event and there was plenty of room for me, a cot and a chair. Our campground got really windy and a lot of dome tents faltered, one even broke its poles but my Core 4-person tent was solid. I didn't even have the guy lines out. My only complaint is the tent is fairly see-thru. If you're changing at night with the light on, you will definitely be on display. Take down was easy and the bag expands to accommodate even just stuffing everything back in without folding. The pockets inside are thoughtful and the gear loft doesn't sag. Plenty of ventilation during the day but nights in the mid 50s were cold, I'll pack a better sleeping bag next time. I am completely happy with this tent, I wish I could've spent more than 2 days in it.
Loved it!

We bought this and used it a couple of weeks ago when we went camping. It was great! It was a nice upgrade from our short two person tent. We were able to fit a two person cot in here and also stand up, have room to change, etc. It lightly rained when we were camping and it stayed dry and held up. We haven’t tested it out with heavy rain, so the jury’s out on that. We can’t wait to go camping with this again!

Hi Mels, Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad the tent was a comfortable upgrade, providing space to stand up and stay dry during light rain. We hope it continues to be a great fit for your camping trips—enjoy your next adventure!
Complicated set up

Horrible to set up. Not intuitive. Hard to get the bottom screw into the pole at the bottom. I have a pop up tent from this brand and I love it! This was a disappointment. We have a brood of children and this was asking to be physically exerted before we even set up camp. I rarely leave reviews but I think in this case I think it is warranted. This tent is for those who have upper body strength and energy to burn.

Condensation and Rain

Bought this model last summer, with limited use so far. I was looking for a bit more comfort, high ceiling for standing up, room for a chair and table. You know, a cabin. Guess I was just lucky until experiencing high humidity and a little shower. Condensation actually formed underneath the fly and dripped into the tent. Lower walls were more than damp, beading water and developing a drip. Condensation was the biggest problem, I have had backpacking tents and dome tents with enough experience to find this performance subpar. I guyed out, but frankly find it changes nothing in the coverage. I vented, but it was in the mid 40s. Anyway, maybe it's great for dry desert air. No wonder it is less expensive? But my Coleman Timberline performs better. Unless I can be guided for better technique, I have to express disappointment.

Love being able to stand up straight inside. It poured and rained for a few hours but water didn't seep through. My only complaint is the zipper for the door, it's impossible to open without it getting stuck several times.

I bought one of these tents a year ago and love it. I, i am a scoutmaster and bought a second one for my 15 year old. Grandson who is 6 foot tall and outgrowing his smaller tent. It came damaged. I got ahold, a core, and they replaced it withhin 4 days, wow.

Do not open the door
3 out of 5 stars
Jason T. - 2 years ago

Do not open the door when it is raining, water dumps inside on the tent floor from the rain fly. The rain fly needs to extend past the door opening and the tub floor also needs to be extended upwards on the tent walls. Water leaked in the corners where the floor meets the walls. Rained for about 2 hours and had puddles in the corners. Good tent when there is no rain in the forecast. I also wish the air vent on the back wall of the tent had the ability to be velcroed or zipped closed, too much cold air enters the tent even when staked down against the tent to prevent air from coming in.

Not water repellant!

We got our tent 3 years ago but last weekend was the first time we had an experience with rain. The tent fly is nowhere close to being water repellant! The rain was basically soaking through the fly, going through the mesh and getting us soaked! The rainfall wasn't that bad but it ruined our camping trip! We went to bed wet and it basically rained in the tent most of the night. In the morning we were soaked and cold! There was about 1 1/2 gallons of water puddled inside the tent!! We really enjoyed the tent until we experienced rain! I think I'll just give it to the kids as a toy in the yard - worthless!!!!!! I will not purchase another CORE tent!

Excellent warm weather tent

Easy to set up for one person, roomy for one person. Very well ventilated with the flow through venting on top. However, the flow through venting on top doesn't hold any warmth in cold temperatures. Even with a heater. Heat goes straight up and out the ceiling. Tested in Ehrenberg, AZ, End of January. Sun warmed it up nice in the afternoon. At night, it got down to 40 degrees. Had to bundle up to be a little bit warm. I'll try it again when the weather warms. Need a way to close up the ceiling ventilation for colder temperatures.

Nice tent. Review based on initial setup at home. Will post another review once set up on camping site. However first impression suggest it is a nice tent. For setup I followed the video posted by an earlier review on Core site. Very nice video. Setup is quick and easy for one person. I am impressed with the inside height allowing more space to move around the tent. Stay tuned for second review froma actual campsite when weather becomes warmer.
