The instructions say to build from top to bottom. It is a very heavy piece. So when I went to stand it up some of the shelves weakened and others just broke off. Had the instructions said to build bottom to top perhaps it would have faired better. I can’t return because I don’t have a car and the item is too heavy. But the quality is so poor, I don’t think it would’ve lasted too long. I won’t be buying anything else from Costway, and my trust in Target for selling them is severely compromised.

Looks nice upon assembly, but the shelf is one stiff wind away from collapsing entirely. The locking pegs don’t lock at all, so I’m hoping gravity and the wall anchors will be enough to hold it together.

I bought the set of two bookshelves, and then a single bookshelf to add to it to make three for my wall. The set of two is wonderful. The single item however is clearly subpar with much cheaper hardware. Many of the boards were slightly damaged. The set of two bookshelves also came with stickers to cover the screws which is a nice touch. The single bookshelf did not come with them. Beware. They look as if they are the same - but the set of two is of much superior quality.

This bookshelf looks very sleek and modern in our bedroom. Offers a lot of book storage with room on the ends for plants/decorative objects without looking cluttered. You MUST screw this bookshelf to the wall (everything included) or it will easily fall. It isn’t a sturdy piece on its own but once it’s secured it won’t go anywhere.

The shelves arrived quickly. I ordered 2 set of 2. I wanted to create a book shelf wall in my office. Took about 3 hours to assemble all four shelves. Good quality for the price. Solid hardware. Shelves do need to be secured to wall, but I was prepared for that after reading other reviews. Would definitely buy again.

Nice bookcase.. looks great. It was on sale, so very happy about the price. The only slight downfall is that it is top heavy(prob cuz it’s height) and requires that you stabilize it to the wall..
