Burning motor smell after walking on speed 1 for an hour and the belt periodically pauses causing me to jerk while walking

It is a nice treadmill and I use it since I work from home. It does give a burning rubber smell and it is starting to concern me. I have used the lubricant but it still gives a burnt rubber smell.
