Q: What type of bulb fits? I've tried the ones suggested and the base is too wide to fit inside the light cover.

You can't fit a normal sized lightbulb in without removing the metal mounts around the globes. You can't illuminate individual bulbs; it's all or nothing. Wiring leaves way too much slack which makes the foot switch unsightly and cumbersome. As far as I can tell the description makes no mention of these issues. Would never buy again.

This is a beautiful and well-made lamp. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the cord is black instead of silver or gold which would be easier to hide/blend in. But that isn’t a big enough issue for me to remove any stars. I have added a photo of the lightbulbs you need to purchase with or for this lamp. I would suggest a soft weight because it can be very bright otherwise, but that is obviously personal preference. In response to this being difficult to remove from the box, it is packaged very well and carefully to avoid breaking the globes which are frosted glass. I used a knife to cut the tape to the exterior and interior boxes, and had no problem removing the item or with cleanup. Easy to put together also.

The lamp is gorgeous and easy to put together. I’m removing one star due to the inconvenience of finding lightbulbs for it. It took me three tries to find a bulb that could fit through the mouth of the shade and not be too long. For anyone looking the lamp requires a bulb with an A15 shape and a medium/E26 base. I’m also removing a star due to packaging. The lamp is extremely difficult to remove from the box and is full of that break apart styrofoam packaging that gets everywhere.

Requires smaller appliance bulbs that have a regular sized base. Not the easiest to find, and when I ordered LEDs they were still too large to fit through the globe opening. Had I known before hand I would not have purchased. I’ve been buying and returning bulbs for 2 weeks now and still don’t have ones that fit.

This is a beautifully designed lamp at a very reasonable price. However, it requires specially sized lightbulbs that are not sepecified in the website description or in the packaging. When assembling you have to screw in the lighbulbs and then slide the orbs over the bulbs. The head of a regular lighbulb is too fat to fit into the orb. I had neither the time nor the inclination to try to figure out what would fit, and so I returned the lamp. But it would be a great lamp otherwise.

It came broken. It also doesn’t tell you what type of bulb to get. I ordered the ones they mentioned but they were too fat to fit in the outer part of the lamp. I reordered another bulb that was skinner and it was too long to fit in the outer part.
