Q: Does the hutch have to be installed or do I have the option of not installing it and would still look fine? I just don't want to have holes on the desk where it attaches to if I decide not to place it

Horrible! Only box 2 came and the wood was scratched, so missing pieces., fought with target for days to try to get a resolution to the issue but because the use a third party vendor no resolution was give so I seem to be stuck with damage pieces of a desk that I can’t put together because I’m missing the rest of it! Never shoping from a third party vendor on target again!!

Number of pieces is a bit intimidating at first but my 12 and 11 yr old loved helping me put it together. In fact, after I showed them how each piece of hardware worked, they put it together without much input or help from me. Very cute desk. My daughter loves it. And now my son wants me to buy more furniture for him to put together😂.

The table arrives yesterday and took us hours to build! There are very DETAILED instructions and they were very clear, but yes, it was tedious to build it. The table is heavy and high quality (even though it’s particle wood). I am REALLY happy with this purchase (and no, this isn’t a paid review). My 6-year-old needed a table to do his school work and the abundance of art projects he creates on a daily basis. He’s happy and I’m happy.
