Condition of the wood is terrible. It's like it was not even sanded and there's barely any sealant to protect it from the elements. One board has a particularly nasty crack that was definitely there at the time of manufacture. Abysmal quality control. It was fairly easy to put together.

Does not withstand the weather. I have had this table set out for roughly 3 months, and it has already lost the little bit of coating it had on it and will need to be refinished. The table set is great aside from not being outdoor quality, which is what it's marketed for. It has discolored some as well. It came packaged nicely and was easy to set up.

I bought this table set towards the end of last year's summer season. One detail that I missed even though I had filtered my search for stackable chairs is that these chairs do not stack. That's my miss but also, the filter should have caught that, too. I kept the table covered when not in use to minimize sun and rain damage. We stored this in the garage during winter and as we brought it out again for use this season, it has aged like 10 years! We have had to resand, revarnish and seal the table and chairs because the wood is so rough that you could get splinters! While the draw for me was real wood, the reviews and other descriptors would not have me think that I would need to do this after using the table less than 10-15 times and being covered the majority of the time. We'll see if it lasts us the rest of this summer, but I would have much rather put my money spent on this towards another set even if I had to pay more. Ugh.
