A lot of the holes didn’t line up very well and the top piece was cracked. I’m pretty disappointed
Be careful. You get what you pay for.

I like that the instructions were easy to follow. I disliked that the corners on a few boards were chipped. The plastic piece that attaches to the drafting table was shattered in pieces. Some of the holes didn’t line up.
Dishonorable third-party vendor

We received and eagerly put this desk together only to find a crack in the top piece and a nonfunctional hinge. I attempted to contact Target who sent me to the third party vendor. Costway seemed to be playing a game of how little they could help. They initially only offered me a refund for $30 versus having to wait for the 1-2 months to have the pieces manufactured because they reportedly couldn’t replace the item. After 2 weeks of e-mail dialogue, I call Target customer service and explained the situation. I was advised to simply bring back the desk to a nearby Target store for a full refund. Once the Costway company was informed about this they begged me not to return the item, offered a full refund or replacement. At this point, they have lost all credibility. Thankfully Target will give full refund, only downside is that I have to take the heavy desk back to the store.
A pain to put together

I really liked the design of this desk with the underneath shelving and the part that angles up to write or hold a book, but it should be noted that the sides are not interchangeable! Most L-shaped desks can swap out which side goes to the left or right when they are 2 different lengths. Not this design. So make sure you know exactly how it will fit in your space. The steps to putting together the desk are relatively easy to follow, the issue is that you have to be very careful with how you screw everything in. If you tighten any screw up before all the screws are in, the holes will not line up. This became very frustrating and took much long to put together than it should have. However, once everything was finally put together, the design is still really nice.
Beware-- screws don't align with drilled holes

This desk can't be fully assembled because multiple screws don't align with the holes drilled in the desk. You can't assemble it into the L shape shown because the tabletops simply don't fit that way. Probably get a different desk that has better quality control.
Nice Desk: Good Price

This desk is as described. It was a good fit for our needs and budget. It looks nice and seems sturdy--perfect for our son as he starts college. The assembly instructions are wrong (or possibly the illustrations?) when it comes to building the tiltable tabletop, but he figured it out.
