Q: I see the color description as "coffee" but it looks almost cherry or mahogany. Can you clarify the color? AND, does the "wood" have a smooth finish surface?

Just what I was looking for. The coffee table looks exactly like the picture. It was delivered quickly. The assembly was a bit cumbersome and took @1 1/2 hrs to complete. The only issue I have is that the top seems to get stains easily when putting your feet up on the table. So if you put your feet up, use a pillow to cover the top. Otherwise this is a great table!

We were looking forward to having a newer coffee table. We have put together several pieces of furniture before and had no difficulty. The screws don't go in flat and if you try to get then they break the particle board.

Nice sturdy lift top table, exactly what we needed for our new couch, as it was to high for our old table, this one is the perfect height, now we can eat, work or whatever without doubling over to reach the table.

There is nothing I don't like about this table. I bought this piece with my son in mind when he is sitting using his laptop or building his heli's or eating while watching TV. He put this together himself within an hour. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. He feels the frame is not cheap and is very sturdy. The top moves very nicely to open and close with plenty of storage space (laptop fits nicely). Very happy with the appearance in my living room and love the weight of the table. I would recommend this piece and would definitely buy it again!!

Perfect for the seating area of my office. Easy to put together, it did take about 2 hours, I used an electric screwdriver to speed up the process. The lift-up top is a great feature when I am using a laptop. It is low to the ground, but it ok for me in my setting. For the money, a great piece and I would definitely recommend.

This piece really makes a difference in the living room. I really love the lift top feature of it. I put it together myself, it was alright until its time to attach the lift top. Which was the most difficult part. Otherwise it really adds to the space. Gives you the ability to add storage not only on the outside that's accessible but also to the inside where you can store stuff out of sight.

I purchased this table for my RV so that I would have a workspace! It's very sturdy and easy to assemble. They even included the tools that I needed to put it together! Fits perfectly and is just the right size for me to work on my laptop. Then I can store everything inside. And what a great price!

Parts are clearly labeled and the pre drilled holes make assembly a breeze! The table is heavier than expected and the storage space is a bonus to a really nice piece of furniture.

The table was easy to build, the extra storage spaces on the side are super nice, and the brown color is very pretty. The inside storage space is really nice. So far, it’s absolutely perfect for my small living room
