Description
A square coffee table is a great addition to any living room. This coffee table with removable top from the Cottage Road collection is especially unique. Finished in Soft White with Lintel Oak accents, it functions and looks like a standard coffee table. Then voilà, simply flip or remove the top altogether to unveil a unique and beautifully designed game coffee table. The reversible top features an oversized checkers or chess pattern on the back surface. You can display either surface as you wish – making it easy to function as a checkerboard coffee table. Remove the top completely to reveal an inside lower shelf that is the perfect spot to keep unfinished games or puzzles intact, hidden, and out of the way until the gaming is ready to resume. This shelf has handles for easy movement and can be adjusted to three positions for storage, play, or taller game pieces. A 3-inch-deep open ledge on opposing sides of this chess board coffee table can be used for temporary placement of gaming pieces. This table is finished on all sides to allow convenient placement in any room.

Assembly was great until the appliqués and cam covers. These are important finishing pieces and took almost as long to apply as to build the entire table. They are still not all in place.

When I put this together the A Piece had one unit that wa drillled incorrectly on 1/2 of the holes .

This is a very nice piece of furniture! I love the color and the secret storage option! It's very sturdy and a huge upgrade from our old Ikea table. Easy to assemble, although it took some time. The only thing I don't like is how heavy it is as I like to move my coffee tables to vacuum the rug and I wish the side panels had more screws to secure it. But overall I'm pleased!

This is my 8th piece of this Cottage Road collection. Love all of them. So easy to assemble, directions are on point and never ever had an issue with assembly. Get many compliments!!!
Broken leg and panel

With the assistance of my wife we carefully put it together. When I got to the leg and panel I pushed hard and the particle board broke. The leg is now unstable. Also when I pushed one of the dowels into the panel it went through. I only pushed and did not use a hammer. We put it together and it looks great. Just what we wanted. But now one leg is unstable and will probably break again. I spackled the dowel area that broke through the panel and used spackle and gorilla glue for the leg. But as I said it is now too unstable.

Lots of pieces and a few hours but love the table. A few cam covers were missing and with a few questions answered, cam covers are on their way, no charge. Great customer service.
