These are very flimsy

I’ve bought the Up&Up brand of cotton swabs for years now. They are usually the same quality as the name brand. The most recent pack I got has clearly gone downhill in quality. They are super flimsy and there is nothing more annoying than a cotton swab that gets bent when using it. I hope they haven’t lowered quality without lowering the price to match.

Great price point, cute color. Here’s the catch…. I didn’t realize the sticks themselves are hollow plastic, meaning they bend when you use them. I ended up having to buy the traditional white paper stemmed cotton swabs and kept these to fill my guest bathroom with for aesthetic purposes.

These used to be my go to for a great alternative to name brand, but like others have commented, they’re terrible now. I don’t have any complaints about the cotton tip, but the stick bends now and makes them harder to use. If I wanted a bendy stick, I’d by the plastic ones. I won’t be buying these again. I’ll pay the extra for the name brand so I don’t dread using them.
