Counter Assault 10.2oz Bear Spray with Holster Sealed Blister

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Counter Assault Bear Deterrent since I live in a place where we sometimes have bears. If I'm outside at night I take this with me for protections. I would suggest practicing to shoot the spray before you get in a potential dangerous situation. That way, you know what you're doing and have no doubts. Great product for the price and high quality spray so you stay confident during a bear (or other dangerous animal) encounter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bear Canister w/Holster Sealed Blister is possibly the most controlled bear repellent I have ever had. We have purchased similar products in the past as we like to camp a lot, and this one by far is the most functional. The mist is very fine, so be aware of the wind so you don't spray it where it can come back onto your face. It will happen. The sprayer is very precise. We did not have an encounter with a bear while having this product so we could not test it’s effectiveness, but considering the scent and ingredients, I know it will work. I would recommend this product to everyone who likes to go camping. Though bear encounters is not necessarily what we would hope for, it’s something to consider being prepared for. This product is an excellent option!

I live in a somewhat wooded area, and we have had a lot of bear sightings lately. They are looking for food and coming right into neighborhoods to do so. We had one walk right past our front door the other morning. This includes a holster, which makes it easier to bring along on walks. Easy one handed operation.

Bear Canister w/Holster to really scare her away. It worked she hasent been back since. I like that the canister with holster attaches right to my hip. I just brought one for my grandmother, she has had beers on her property and she is afraid to go outside at dusk. I highly recommend the Bear Canister for anybody who owns property, hikers, hunters, gardeners etc.

I bought this for the reasoning of bear sightings in the walkways of the place I go fishing you can never be more prepared !. This is by far a great product everyone should own !!.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I haven't ran into any bears "yet" but I hike and fish all the time and I tell you what I feel alot safer having it I like that it has a holster for easy access that way I'm not fumbling through my pack it's right there at the ready. The safety features keeps it from getting snagged on brush and other things causing accidental discharge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have not needed to use it, I am confident that this product will deter a bear if we were to come into contact with it. It is from a reputable and recommended brand which gives me peace of mind as we take long hikes and go camping various times during the year. The instructions, along with the images provided, are very clear yet I plan on acquiring Counter Assault training as I want to be confident with the use of this product. This canister is designed for one-hand operation. Yet the enclosed holster would make that less possible if attached to a belt; it is snug and you would need to pull on the holster to remove the canister with the other hand. As a result, I attached the holster to my backpack as I can quickly unclip it and only detach the Velcro top off the holster from the actuator handle. There would be no need to remove holster this way and which would save crucial time. It is reassuring the distance that the spray covers. Another plus is the glow-in-the-dark safety clip to quickly operate in the dark! It appears to be a one-time use as the canister empties in 8 seconds. I hope to never have to use it but glad I carry it in case!

I got this for my son who moved to Colorado this month just in case he came in contact with any bear's since he will be camping full time. It definitely gives me piece of mind knowing he has it with him. The canister is a great size, easy to carry with you which I really like. The people he has met have also said it's a great thing to have if you are going to be hiking, etc by yourself so that is reassuring. If nothing else, this has given this Momma Bear a sense of relief knowing he has this with him all the time which is priceless. I hope he is never out in a position to have to use it, but if so it's great to know he has it. What's the old saying? Better to have and not need than to need and not have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that the canister of Bear Deterrent came with a belt holster so you have an easy way to carry it someplace convenient. The canister isn't very big so it's not bulky to carry on your side or attach to a backpack. With a 40 foot spray distance it will go a good distance to keep you safe. The canister and holster are both good quality. I did not actually try it out since it would then be useless for when I may need it later while hiking. But on the overall it seems very easy to use with simple instructions.

I do not drive so walking is a daily thing for me. Its light enough to carry with no issues but has 8 seconds of spray. It clips on to my backpack well but generally i clip it to the stroller and its great. I highly recommend it for everyone who lives in the woods. It is super simpe and easy to use just point and shoot.
